Outlastis a horror-filled game about surviving and escaping an asylum. You play as a reporter investigating strange activity at a Mountain Asylum. By the time you get there, you walk into the middle of experiments that have gone terribly wrong.

Throughout this survival game, there are collectibles in each of the 8 chapters. If you collect all the collectibles, you’ll receive the Pulitzer gold trophy. However, due to the dark color scheme of the game, it’s easy to miss some of the documents and notes.In Chapter 1, there are 11 collectibles.
Collectible 1 - Whistleblower Document
The first document is available when you first drive up to the asylum.The Whistleblower document will be in the seat next to you, which you’re able to grab once you park. This document is what caused you to go investigating in the first place. It claims illegal activity was occurring at the Murkoff Psychiatric Systems. An insider tipped you off about the doctors going too deep into “dream therapy” and finding something in the mountain that was waiting for them. Apparently, Murkoff is generating money off of the people getting hurt.
Collectible 2 - Mount Massive Asylum Note
When you get out of your vehicle, you will head past the guardhouse and through the gate ahead of you.Use your camera to look at the massive building and the Mount Massive Asylum note will generate.This note will talk about how The Murkoff Corporation had a way to disguise their profit as charity. They reopened the asylum in 2009, disguising it as a charitable organization after it closed due to a scandal in 1971.
Collectible 3 - William Hope Patient Status Report
Search for an open window to climb through outside the building.You’ll enter a room with furniture that has been knocked over. Once inside, the lights will immediately burn out, and you’ll have to depend on the night vision of your camera to leave the room. Once you open the door, turn the night vision and camera off to reserve the battery. Head to the room directly across the hall and go through the door on the other side of the room.
This will lead you back to the hallway where you’ll have to walk down and squeeze between some clutter. The second room on your left, A 214 will be the room you’ll want to enter.The Project Walrider Patient Status Report For William Hope document will be in a blue folder on the desk.Your collected documents will then be updated in your reporter’s notebook.

Collectible 4 - I’m Inside Note
In the Library, you will find the second note called I’m Inside.Prepare by turning your night vision on prior to opening the door. There will be a surprise for you when you push the door open. Run down the walkway and veer to your left. Make another sharp left and look toward the window with the man stuck on the spiked piece of wood.This man is still alive and will give you your second verbal note.He will tell you that you need to hide instead of fighting. He will also mention that to unlock the main doors you need to go to security and control.
Collectible 5 - Warrant For Seizure
You will find The Warrant For Seizure document after you awaken in the lobby.The document will be located on the desk in the middle of the room.

Collectible 6 - Chris Walker Patient Status Report
After you pick up the Warrant For Seizure document, you will head out of the desk and walk towards to main doors. Then, go to your right through an open door and into a dark room with computer screens illuminating the area. Go to the open door on the far side of the room.When you enter, go to your right and turn on your night vision to find the Project Walrider Patient Status Report For Chris Walker document in the box on the shelf.
The Broken Men And Dead Television note won’t be far from the previous document.Once you pick up the 4th document, go through the door that’s across from the one you entered. You will then go down the hallway to your left and enter the lit room, A 115. You will see three patients watching TV.Utilizing your stealth, walk past them and while youhave your camera up looking at them. The note will then generate.

Collectible 8 - The Witness Note
Back in the lobby, you will find The Witness note.Staring at the desk from the main doors, you will run straight down on your right and through a barred door entrance also on your right. The first room on your left will be a bathroom.Have your camera up and open the middle stall.You will find a dead person sitting on a toilet with bloody words behind him saying “Witness.” The note will generate.

Collectible 9 - Profitability Report
Leaving the bathroom, you will continue down the hall until you come to the open door on your left, A 126. Go to the desk on the far end of the room,and you’ll see the blue folder containing the Project Walrider Profitability Report.
Collectible 10 - Big Guy Note
This next note titled Big Fucking Guy can be found in the security room. You will hear something coming down the hallway, which will prompt you to hide in one of the lockers. Put your camera up, but leave night vision off as to not waste the battery. Have the camera aimed at the grate in the locker. Getthe monsterin frame.The note will automatically generate.
Collectible 11 - Mkultra CIA Hypnotic Suicide
Back in the lobby, you will follow the blood trail down the stairs to the left of the gated doorway you went through before. At the bottom of the stairs, you’ll reach a door. Through this door, go to your left, Then go through a small brick opening.Once you’re through this opening, look to your right and there will be the Mkultra CIA Hypnotic Suicide document on the desk.
