At the beginning ofOne Punch Man, Saitama was devoid of any strong emotions or feelings. With that said, calling his state of mind zen-like dismisses the contrasting motivations he has. There’s nothing concrete or binding that keeps Saitama on a good path.The indifference and lack of motivation paired up with his limitless strengthmakes fans wonder if turning evil is the final stage of Saitama’s journey.
Here’s why ‘Saitama is Evil’ theory doesn’t make much sense
Boredom has been the only constant in Saitama’s life for a long time. If he ever felt the desire or hope that turning evil would do him some good or entertain him, he would have tried it out by now. But staying good or turning evil wouldn’t make a difference to him, given his strength. However, he likely doesn’t see any benefits in the latter.

He’s making a conscious choice to stay on the good path. The reason he became a hero was for validation, he wanted people to think of him as someone good. This is by far one of the only factors we have seen that explains his desire to get stronger.
Even though it’s somewhat selfish, it’s the only polarizing thought we have seen him experiencing. Therefore, we know that Saitama is good because he wants to be that way. And there’s hardly any reason in sight or event that could potentially change his mind.
