As the epic saga ofOne Piecehas finally entered the first stage of its finale, fans have been wondering how the series is going to end. The series has been going on strong for almost 27 years and there have been many discussions about how Eiichiro Oda, the creator ofOne Piecehas planned the ending of the story.

While many theories have been devised regarding the ending ofOne Piece, one wild theory predicts the death of one of the Straw Hat members in the final saga for him to ultimately achieve his dream. And this character is none other than Usopp. Usopp dreams of being a legendary warrior of the sea, and it can only be accomplished if he dies doing something epic.
Although this would be a sad way, it would surely help Usopp gain the title he dreams of. However, if Oda-san plans to do so, he must not repeat one mistake that was made by Masashi Kishimoto inNaruto, when Naruto saved Might Guy when he was prepared to die.

Naruto Saved Might Guy When He Was Prepared To Die
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, when Might Guy faced Madara Uchiha, he opened all eight gates of his technique and almost destroyed Madara, but it came with the cost of his life. While he was successful in being declared the strongest by the ghost of Uchiha himself when he was at death’s door, he was saved by Naruto from dying.
However, some fans believe that Naruto did injustice to Might Guy by saving him, because he stole his moment. If Guy had died fighting and almost destroying Madara his status as the strongest warrior would have increased tenfold and his legend would have been forever written in the history of Konoha.

Although by saving Guy, Naruto showed his loyalty and his determination to save everyone, it was seen by Naruto fans as a mistake by Kishimoto as now inBoruto, Guy does not have much role in the story at all, and his legend is not known by many people except the ones who were present in the war.

One PieceShould Not RepeatNaruto’sMistake
According to a widely accepted theory, Usopp will have to sacrifice himself to save the Straw Hats at some point in the story. Usopp will give his life and become the brave sea warrior he always wanted to be. It is only after he has given his life that he can say that he has fulfilled his dream.
Therefore, if Oda wants Usopp to achieve his dream, he might have to drop his ideology of not killing the characters and have to let him die with honor. This would make him the legendary warrior of the sea who died saving his crewmates in the conclusion avoiding the mistake done by Naruto at the time of Might Guy.
