According to a recent tweet by Twitter/X user Ziostorm, this long-awaited update could be right around the corner, as there has been a recent update to the game’s SteamDB files, which could hint towards an update in the near future.
Keep in mind that this is only a theory and has no real weight to it, as there have been a few updates toElden Ring‘s SteamDB files recently that have all led to nothing, but never say never, as there is always the potential for a big reveal around the corner that could blow this case out of the water.
Gamers Are Getting Their Hopes up Once Again, and It May Not Be the Last Time Either.
So far, there have been plenty of theories, hopes, and dreams for theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC to drop in the coming few days, as many gamers theorize that it may release on the game’s second-year anniversary, or some believe that a trailer may be revealed that day.

With these hopes and dreams, players could be getting their hopes a little too high, as there has been no official confirmation thatShadow of the Erdtreeis even close to being released, and the only information that the gaming community can look towards are the update files that are being changed on a regular basis.

If this theory is true and we will at least see a reveal trailer by the middle of this month, it will be major news and set a lot of gamers minds at ease as they will finally receive some kind of release date that they can eagerly await, or gamers might finally get that shadow drop they have been waiting on.
