Square Enix developer andNieR Automataproducer Yosuke Saito seems to be teasing that a NieR-related announcement is on the cards in 2025, which marks the franchise’s 15th anniversary.

NieR’s 15th Year Anniversary In 2025 Will Have An Important Announcement Tied To It
This interesting bit of info comes from Japanese gaming site4Gamer(viaGematsu), which published the 2025 edition of its annual end-of-year interviews with Japanese game developers. The publication interviewed 164 game developers and one of them was Yosuke Saito, who had the following to share:
“2025 will be a milestone year as it marks the 15th anniversary of the NieR series, so I’d like to do something for it! What should we do… maybe something with the next game, or developments related to that… I’ve been hearing the fans’ expectations. It’s a bit tricky, though… That said, as I’ll likely be doing less direct work as a producer, I’d appreciate it if you could patiently look forward to what’s coming.”
I don’t know about you, but that sure seems like a confirmation that we’ll be hearing more about the next entry in the NieR franchise, right?
