Nicole Scherzinger gained attention after the U.S. Presidential Election for her alleged support for President-elect Donald Trump. Fans found out that she had liked a pro-Trump tweet from controversial actor Russell Brand, allegedly confirming her Republican ties. However, it isn’t the first time that Scherzinger made the headlines this month.

Earlier this month, Scherzinger ended her three-year-long court battle with The Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin. The disbanded group was supposed to come together for a tour in 2020. The tour got delayed due to the pandemic and was later announced to be canceled in 2022. Antin had filed a lawsuit against Scherzinger citing breach of contract.

The Pussycat Dolls consisted of Scherzinger and her bandmates, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt.

The group was plagued by issues at the peak of their success and went into a hiatus following their 2009 world tour (via Rolling Stone). They were disbanded in 2010 and Scherzinger went on to enjoy a successful solo career.The Masked Singerjudge and her bandmates, minus Melody Thornton, were supposed to reunite for a tour in 2020.
The tour was pushed back to 2021 due to the pandemic situation.BBCreported in September 2021 that Robin Antin, the founder of the girl group, was suing Scherzinger for a breach of contract. According to Antin’s lawsuit, the singer had allegedly refused to take part in the reunion tour.

The lawsuit claimed that Scherzinger had initially settled for a 49% share of the tour earnings but later wanted to renegotiate it to 75%. She also allegedly wanted creative control over the tour. Scherzinger’s lawyers shared that the lawsuit was“ludicrous and false”(via E!). They shared that the singer simply wanted to renegotiate the contract in the wake of repeated delays in the tour.
Scherzinger announced the cancelation of the tour via Instagram, which did not sit well with bandmates Bachar and Sutta (via Huff Post). The whole drama intensified in 2022 when Scherzinger filed a counter-complaint against Antin. According toRolling Stone, the singer accused the choreographer of misappropriating funds.

According toPage Six, Scherzinger and Antin have settled their lawsuit amicably. A source shared with the outlet that they“actually came to a resolution months ago but needed some time to formalize the details.”
The court documents filed in LA court stated that the“parties have reached a settlement in principle, subject to the execution of certain written agreements.”The court canceled the jury trial dated December 9 in response to the filing.

She shared that the group was under a lot of stress, owing to their packed schedule. The group had tobattle their demonswhile being on the road all the time. Scherzinger suggested that the internal issues might have arisen fromthis stress-filled environment. She shared withThe Times U.K.:
It was such a difficult time, struggling and battling your own demons and issues and always being on the road, and they never allowed sleep in our schedule. I mean, it was just a recipe for disaster, to be honest with you.

Scherzinger described the working condition as,“Work them to the bone until they’re passed out.”She also shared that working in the pop group further intensified her insecurities about her body. She shared,“It was difficult for me in the beginning because I didn’t feel comfortable in my skin.”Despite the lawsuit, Scherzinger shared that she was hopeful for the future of the group.
