When’s the release date ofNeo: The World Ends With You?
For now, Square Enix announced Neo: The World Ends With You is coming Summer 2021 on PS4 and Switch.
However, Tetsuya Nomura announced on Twitter that new information will be published on April 9, at 15 JST. That’s 2 AM ET, and 11 PM PT. It’s very likely that theNeo: The World Ends With Youfinal release date will be announced then.
The announcement will be published on theTWEWYanime Japanese official Twitter account. Note that this will be happening a few hours before the anime’s first episode airs in Japan. Future information onNeo: TWEWYwill also come through this account.

The release date ofNeo: The World Ends With Youis set for on July 27, on PS4 and Switch. A PC Version will be coming to the Epic Games Store in Summer 20201. A new trailer was shared for the occasion:

IsNeo: The World Ends With Youa sequel or remake?
In a special program for the anime held on April 3, the director ofNeo TWEWY,Tatsuya Kando, said that the game is a “direct sequel to theThe World Ends With You The Animationanime and set three years after it”.
It’s interesting that he noted it’s a sequel to the TV anime, as it implies it will bring new elements not found in the original game, theSolo Remixmobile port, or theFinal RemixSwitch port.
However, it’s also important to note that bothRemixports included new story elements and introduced a new character Tsugumi Matsunae, hinting at a sequel. Moreover, Tsugumi Matsunae appears in the first trailer ofNeo: The World Ends With You.
The World Ends With Youwas first released in July 2007 on Nintendo DS in Japan under the name Subarashiki Kono Sekai it’s a Wonderful World. TheTWEWYseries also appeared in theKingdom Heartsseries.Neo The World Ends With Youwas first revealed on June 05, 2025 by Square Enix.
