During Jump Fest 2022, the creators ofNarutoannounced that four new episodes of Masashi Kishimoto’s masterpiece will be released with new animation. This project was commemorated to celebrate the 20th anniversary ofNaruto,and the official animation studio ofNaruto,Studio Pierrot, was going to handle the project.

While the project got delayed a couple of times, the series has now offered some major updates aboutNaruto’sTV animation project. According to the update, the four episodes will most likely be launched this year as a celebration ofNarutocompleting 20 years as one of the biggest anime series of all time to ever get released.

As soon as the news went online, fans shared their opinions about the upcomingNarutoanime. While some fans were happy with their favorite series finally getting four potentially new episodes, others were not too confident about the upcoming anime and its release date, which is yet to be announced by the officials.

NewNarutoAnime Gets a Release Window

The unofficial account of Weekly Shonen Jump News on X(Formerly Twitter) shared a report by TV Tokyo in which Ichiro Ishikawa, the President and Representative Director of TV Tokyo, revealed that the newNarutoanime project will most likely get a release date within the current financial year. He revealed this during a Q&A session held on June 02, 2025.

While the newNarutofour-episode anime was announced earlier,the official websiteof the series announced on July 22, 2025, that the series will be released on July 28, 2025. However, due to some difficulties, the series had to be postponed, and everything went silent after that, making fans lose hope.

Therefore, the current news comes as a glimmer of hope forNarutofans, who have been eagerly waiting for the newNarutoepisodes.

Although it is not confirmed what these episodes will hold, fans are still excited to get some new content fromMasashi Kishimoto’smasterpiece. According to the report, the series can be released anytime from now until March 2025.

NarutoFans Are Not Confident About the Upcoming New Anime Project

There have been multiple speculations about whether the new episodes will adapt the old narrative or bring out a newNarutostory for fans. Because of this, while some fans are still excited about the upcoming project, others are not too happy about it and have a lot of complaints.

Fans commented on the Shonen Jump News’ post and shared their mixed opinions about the newNarutoanime. Most of them are not at all satisfied with the project.
