What Content Will Be Available in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta
Per the press release sent by Capcom, not only will the Open Beta feature cross-play between all three platforms, but players can expect a special bonus Pendant to decorate their weapons, and a helpful item pack for participating that will be available in the final version of the game as well.
The Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta will feature three separate experiences: the complete character creation tool with the data from it transferable to the full game once it releases. There’s also a Story Trial where players can check out the opening cutscene of the game alongside a basic tutorial while players are hunting a Chatacabra. Finally, there’s also a free-roam Doshaguma Hunt where players can track and pursue the Alpha of the Doshaguma pack, and also explore the Windward Plains. The two modes can be played solo or with other players using the familiar SOS flare. Up to four players can be invited in a party, or players can even callin assistance from an NPC (non-player controlled) support hunter.

Announced in December of last year at The Game Awards, Monster Hunter Wilds is set to be released on July 06, 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Compared to other Monster Hunter games, Wilds has seen a rather long development time, and this is somethingCapcom has addressed as well.
