Before we get into its location, it’s important to mention thatthis fish likes to come outduring the Plentyand at dawn (Morning) or dusk (Evening).

According to the Aquatic Life Field Guide, Gravid Bowfins show a strong interest inEmerald Jitterbait.

Players wouldn’t know this unless they caught a Gravid Bowfin at least once, so I’m telling you now to avoid frustration.

Bring out your Fishing Rodunder the Fixed Items section of the Radial Menu, and hold down L1/LB to bring up the Bait menu, and navigate to Emerald Jitterbait. Luckily, Kanya gave you this bait at the start of the quest.

Now, all there is left to do is throw the line into the water and wait. Keep in mind thatit may take multiple attempts to get the Gravid Bowfin to bite.For me, it took me close to 15 tries.

I recommendstanding far away from where the fish is swimmingto reduce the chance of scaring it off. Like Kanya said at the start of the quest, the Gravid Bowfin is very skittish.

Wiggling your rod back and forth can help catch the Gravid Bowfin.

Once the Gravid Bowfin finally bites, reel it in with a simple press of R2/RT.
