The introduction ofDemon Dodgelets you dodge while throwing out a fierce multi-hit attack while triggering a power boost(evade must be a perfect dodge), andEvasion Jewel (2 or 3)and theEvade Extender (increases evade distance)skill help you reposition mid-combo without missing a beat. Use armor likeG. Ebony βfor theEvade Extenderskill or theXu WuforStamina Surge (increases stamina regen)andMaximum Might (increases affinity)skills.

Although theDual Bladescan dish out insane damage consistently, they do have a fewnotable downsidesthat could make or break some players. At some point during battle, you may becomedrained of all stamina. Theinability to blockmay also become a hindrance if you find yourselfunable to weave in and outof attacks. Your sharpness will also drop rather quickly.

Demon Mode

This is going to be where you dish out yourhighest damage combosand is best utilized when the monster isimmobile or knocked overas it boostsattack and movement speedwhile also unlocking flashy combos likeDemon Dance. Archdemon Mode

It is accessed when you leaveDemon Modewith yourdemon gaugefilled, which changes your normal attacks slightly tolesser versionsof the attacks inDemon Mode, granting a damage boost and slight speed boost.

Demon Dodge(new in Wilds)is a perfect dodge(dodging right as an attack is about to land)that grants a short damage and speed buff. It allows anautomatic attackto happen when you dodge, which feeds into the aggressive, skill-based playstyle.

Low and High Rank Builds

Low Rank Build (HR 6-8)

You’ll want to use the Twin Albiraths I(Fire 90, 1 slot, Critical Element  Lv1, & Master’s Touch  Lv1)and slotCrit Element Jewel 1for sustained elemental crits. This armor set is currently the best for low rank builds with elemental burst, which is what we are trying to achieve with this build.

Decorations:

This setup delivers elemental and raw burst while smoothing out stamina with Surge and Constitution.

High Rank Build (HR 36+)

For this high rank build, you’ll want to use the Tiltkreise (Choose any‑element 350, three slots) and you’ll want to useCritical Element/Blaze Jewel 3, Focus/Blaze Jewel 3, Razor Sharp/Blaze Jewel 3or something similar until you obtain these decorations.

This late-to-endgame build blends high elemental output with comfort. Marathon and Constitution sustain Demon Mode, while Weakness Exploit ensures frequent crits, optimized for prolonged fights where Demon Mode will excel.

Sharpen Often

It comes as no surprise that yoursharpnessgoes downquicklywhen using this weapon. Plan openings to sharpen or, if you find it difficult, and you are struggling with keeping your weapons sharpened, use the decoration,Grinder Jewel,which grants the skillSpeed Sharpeningto make sharpening faster and safer.

Stay Aggressive

Your DPS drops if you’renot attacking. It is important to learn each monster’sopenings and chain attacksduringenraged statesin order to continuemaximizingyour damage output and staying in aconstant state of pressure, not allowing the monster to gain the upper hand on you.

Master Demon Dodge

It is a great new tool that can be used forrepositioningand for thebonus damage windowperfect during mid-combo. It is a great reward the game gives you formastering your dodgesand provides a way tokeep upyour relentless assault.

Boosting Elemental Damage

Dual Bladesscale better withelemental damagethan raw, most of the time, so match your blades to monster weaknesses. For example, I normally run the water element for fire-based monsters, andthen I’ll boost that damage with decorations likeCritical Element JewelorChain Jewelpaired with theMaximum Mightskill.

Hit and Run.Don’t get greedy. Quick combos and repositioning beat standing still, especially againstunpredictable monsters.
