While gamers have been captivated byElden Ring, some mods have made the game much more interesting and exciting and one such mod is now very popular among the gamers that gives them a new way to play the game and it has blown up with nearly 40,000 downloads in total.
Elden Ring Mod Gives You New Way to Play the Game
The mod in question is calledElden RingDark Moon and completely overhauls some parts of the game. The Dark Moon mod has been created by Dylan Alexander and is currently available to download and install onNexus Mods. The mod has already been installed 39, 488 times with over twenty thousand fresh downloads with 759 endorsements, showing that it is truly incredible.

The Dark Moon mod is described as“an overhaul focused on new content and fashion souls”and is based on another mod calledElden Ring: Shattered by modder water_bear which overhauls the combat in the game, taking it closer to FromSoft’s Bloodborne.
There are also no other requirements than just the base game for players to download and install the mod. The mod brings new armor, weapons, and magic, items, and also enhances the gameplay mechanics and visuals. There are also updates to character creation and new mechanics like Boss Resurrection. The mod also has new content such as The Arena which is a combat ordeal held in colosseums around the game world. Another new content called The Isle of Bounty is also added.
System changes overhaul the combat mechanics and there are new merchants as well, adding that the mod has a“major emphasis on fashion souls.”The combat changes are not the main focus of the mod but some things have been tweaked like swapping rolls with dashes from Bloodborne. Unique weapons and their Ashes of War are now unlocked and players can use them on any weapon, new movesets have also been introduced for many weapons like Axes and Katanas.
Additional Changes to Elden Ring With Dark Moon Mod
Players while playing in Dark Moon will get tutorial and rumor items which will help players to test and use new mechanics and features that the mod brings, allowing players to get accommodated with them. Players will also find enemies in the basement of Roundtable Hold that will be idle and can be used as training dummies to perfect attacks and test damage.

The Nomadic Merchants will give players Bell Bearing and players need not kill them to get it. There are also changes to Torrent such as players can now ride him while they fight Elden Beast. The mod also introduced new scaling for some weapons. For example, Frozen Needle now has INT, Axe of Godrick has FTH, and Ghiza’s Wheel has ARC.
Players can also purchase infinite Larval Tears from the Twin Maiden Husks for 50k Runes and they also do not need to buy a Crafting kit as the mod adds crafting from the start of the game. The mod also brings some changes to UI such as recoloring the interface to match the mod, HUDs have been simplified, concept art in place of the loading screen, and art from the intro of the game.
