Dwayne Johnson made his highly anticipated return to the ring at WrestleMania 40 this weekend. He teamed up with Roman Reigns, as The Bloodline made it a memorable night for fans of the WWE.
Johnson is a decorated wrestler, with several championship belts to his name. However, he has shifted his focus to pursue acting in the past few years, and his time in the ring has been greatly reduced. Not everyone is happy about it, though, and Michael Cole made it known without mincing words on air.

All eyes were on The Bloodline, as Johnson andRoman Reignsteamed up to take onCody RhodesandSeth Rollins. The hype around the matchup had reached an all-time high in the days leading up to the wrestling spectacle, and it turned out to be worth it in the end.
Johnson had been preparing for this day for months, andhe even worked out hardin preparation to play his part. Unfortunately, there were naysayers too, and Michael Cole happened to be one of them. He did not have positive words for either The Final Boss or The Tribal Chief.
Cole, who is a professional wrestling commentator, did not hold back his comments during the bouts. He took a dig at Johnson for not having participated in a real match in eight years. He even took aim at Reigns, stating that if he vacationed as much as the WWE champion did, he would also have abs.

Both wrestlers have been criticized for their absences in the past. Johnson has focused on his Hollywood projects and has been attached to several big franchises, such asBlack Adam. Reigns has also limited his time in the ring, making select appearances to defend his titles. His leukemia remission and the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic alsoplayed a huge factorin his time away from the arena.

Regardless of the criticisms, both the Great One and the Tribal Chief proved why they are considered the best in the business. Night one of WrestleMania 40 will be talked about for a long time.

The first night of WrestleMania 40 saw seven matches, with three of them being championship matches. The Bloodline was the main event, with the duo going all out to finish on top.

Following the fireworks that marked their respective entrances, the matchup was entertaining. The crowd joined in with chants in support, and the decibel only increased as the action picked up as Rollins and Rhodes tried to take on The Rock.
