It seems like 4A Games and Deep Silver are pushing a lot of interesting news regarding their upcomingMetro ExodusÂwhich was originallyrevealed back in 2017 at Microsoft’s E3 2017 Briefing. It was due to launch in 2018 but ended up beingdelayed to 2019. However, earlier today the official Twitter account is teasing a whole five days of reveals with the first reveal being today.

The first reveal that landed today was be announcing thatÂMetro ExodusÂwill launch with a photo mode on day one. Not many details were revealed such as how the photo mode will work, the distance the camera can travel from the player, and any features we can expect to see.

However, theofficial blog postdetails that photo mode will be available for all platforms, however, those running the title on a PC will benefit from being able to use Nvidia’s Ansel tool. Ansel usually allows a good deal of freedom regarding camera movement and offers various features such as depth of field, and 4K screenshots and above. It was also confirmed thatÂMetro ExodusÂwill support Nvidia RTX Ray Tracing, which will certainly make some some stunning photos for the PC version of the game.

Apparently, photo mode has been one of the most requested features from fans of theMetrogames, and Executive Producer at 4A Games Jon Bloch stated,

“They’re relatively rare in 1st person shooters, but the teamhavebeen determined to make it work and give Metro fans the opportunity to capture their own stories from the Russian wastelands.”

Metro ExodusÂwill grant those that pre-order the game on Xbox One a code forÂMetro 2033 Redux, for those on PS4, a Dynamic PS4 dashboard theme, and for PC players, a digital artbook and theÂMetro ExodusÂOST. If you want to pre-orderÂMetro ExodusÂyou can do so by goingthrough Amazon.

Additionally, theÂMetro Exodus Gold EditionÂwill include the game and an expansion pass, while a physical edition called the Aurora Limited Edition will offer the game, an expansion pass, a metal case, and an art book. There’s also aLimited Spartan Collectors Edition.

Metro ExodusÂis due to launch on June 26, 2025 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
