Arrowhead Game Studios released a newHelldivers 2trailer last week thatteased a crossover with Microsoft’s Halo franchiseis on the way. Today, that tease has become a reality, as Helldivers 2 will be crossing over withHalo: ODSTstarting next week!
This is a momentous occasion in gaming, as Halo was once the Xbox brand’s premier franchise, so much so that Sony had to develop its own shooter franchise to counter it, which, sadly,didn’t go according to plan.
Now, we have the two companies collaborating, and seeing both the Xbox and PlayStation logos in one trailer is a bit surreal.
Helldivers 2 x Halo Is A Reality As A New Legendary Warbond
The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Warbond is dropping on August 26, which is alsothe same day when Helldivers 2 will make its Xbox Series X|S debut. Note that this is an all-new Legendary Warbond, so what better way to kick it off than with a collaboration with an old foe?
Same as with every Warbond released, this will bring new weapons, armor, and other items, but this time, with a Halo theme.

There will also be Halo: ODST-themed player cards, a new player title, and the Mean Green vehicle pattern for your hellpod shuttle, exosuit, and FRV.
There are a lot more items than usual, which is fitting given this is a new Legendary Warbond. For reference, the only collab we’ve seen forHelldivers 2 is with PlayStation’s Killzone franchise, so this is a major step up.
With a ton of new players joining the fight to save Super Earth next week, expect the game to hit all-time highs in concurrent players.
Thankfully, Arrowhead Game Studios doesn’t seem to have any plans to stop support anytime soon, as the studio even mentioned how they have content lined up for thenext few years.
