Xenoblade Chronicles 3has been officially confirmed for September 2022, and with that, we got some more information on the game’s characters as well as the character designer.Masatsugu Saito returns forXenoblade Chronicles 3!
Xenoblade Chronicles 2was one of the biggest open-world Nintendo Switch games in the console’s first year of release. Although it probably couldn’t be as brilliant as its predecessors, fans still loved it and enjoyed their time with it.
Hopefully, Nintendo has greenlit the third installment of theXenoblade Chronicles, and it will be heading to Switch exclusively, again, later in Summer this year.
According to amessage from Tetsuya Takahashi, the executive director at Monolith Soft,Xenoblade Chronicles 3features a brand new story that combines the two universes you explored in the previous games. The new setting will be still welcoming to the newcomers of the franchise, who have no knowledge of the past two entries.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Character Designer Returns for the New Project
As Takahashi reveals in his announcement message, Masatsugu Saito is the character designer behindXenoblade Chronicles 3.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the new protagonists inXenoblade Chronicles 3. Moreover, that ending scene has already made fans curious about the concept behind the new story.
Hopefully, Takahashi has a message about that ending scene for fans:
I imagine everyone who saw the trailer was quite surprised by the final scene. What is this visual hinting at? I can’t reveal that just yet. What I can tell you is that this visual was conceived quite some time ago. More precisely speaking, we came up with it sometime between the end of development of Xenoblade Chronicles and the beginning of development of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. So, it’s not something we recently added to the series.
