This guide will not only cover useful day-one decks for Pixie, but also her counters, synergies, and whether or not she’s worth grabbing while she’s floating around as this week’s featured card.

Best Pixie Decks
Pixie’s Ability states, “On Reveal: Shuffle the Costs of all cards in your deck that started there.” This means, that when she is played all of the cards that started in your deck will shuffle around their Costs. Pixie has an upside and a downside. The upside is that her Ability could result in high-Cost cards like Galactus, Arnim Zola, or Hulk swapping their price with a low-Cost card like Wasp, Sunspot, or Misty Knight, for example. This would allow players to potentially throw down a 0-Cost Galactus on turn three!
The potential downside of Pixie is that the opposite is also true. A low-Cost card like Wasp or Sunspot may end up swapping their costs with the likes of Galactus or Arnim Zola, leaving you with a 6-Cost Wasp or Sunspot which is… not an ideal situation to be in. There are ways to mitigate that, which will be covered in the Best Synergies section below, but this is all to say that Pixie is a wild card that can create some absurd situations.

Pixie Galactus Deck
This deck focuses on playing Pixie in hopes of getting a low-CostGalactus. This is a complete dice-roll, but it can work out more often than one would assume. The earlier you play Pixie, the better so there are a few fallbacks just in case Pixie isn’t drawn early in the game.Wavecan also help to get Galactus on the board as early as possible.Magikcan extend the game by one turn, giving you more chances to get that Galactus play in.Hobgoblinis a great way to ensure that you meet Galactus' requirement of winning the lane where he is played.Nimrodcan duplicate himself into Galactus' lane, assuming he’s on the board before the world-eater shows up.
Mobius M. Mobiusexists in the deck to negate the negative aspects of Pixie’s Ability. He will stop cards from costing more than they originally did at the start of the game, so if Wasp swaps Costs with Galactus after Pixie is played, both cards will have 0-Cost!Mobius is essential in any Pixie deck.

Pixie Arnim Zola Deck
ThisArnim Zoladeck has a couple of pretty clear win conditions. One is playing downWong, followed byBlack Panther, followed by Arnim Zola. This strategy will easily carry two lanes. Pixie works well in this deck because, on a lucky roll, players can play these cards at extremely low-Cost.WaspandYellowjacketare in this deck, so Pixie’s Ability will shuffle those to two other cards, potentially making them 0-Cost as well. While Pixie decks are very random, they can also be extremely difficult for an opponent to counter and this deck is a key example of that.

Pixie High Evolutionary Deck
The High Evolutionary deck relies on unique gameplay that toys with Energy and card Cost. This makes it the perfect deck to include Pixie in. With her Ability, cards can swap Costs, resulting in a (potentially) 0-Cost Hulk or 1-Cost Abomination! This can not only result in huge plays early in the game but also plays into the Evolved Abilities of these High Evolutionary cards. Hulk will increase in Power for each turn players have unspent Energy, for instance. Pixie and the High Evolutionary are a match made in heaven.

Best Pixie Counters
Since her Ability is an On Reveal Ability,Cosmois an obvious counter. While the space dog is best avoided, doing so isn’t difficult as Pixie will ideally be played before Cosmo even has a chance of appearing on the board.Mobius M. Mobius, while he works well alongside Pixie, can also be a thorn in her side. When played by an opponent, Mobius' Ability stops your cards from lowering in Cost. This will disrupt the entire gameplay of Pixie.
Best Pixie Synergies
Pixie is a highly aggressive card with very little reliability. Because of this, she really synergizes with any low-Cost and high-Cost card combo.WaspandYellowjacketare obvious choices for low-Cost cards. High-impact, high-Cost cards likeIron Man,Arnim Zola,Galactus, andOdinare all great pairings. Getting these cards down early can have some serious positive consequences!
Hands down, the card with the strongest synergy in a Pixie deck isMobius M. Mobius. This card not only synergizes with the winged X-Man, but it is also an essential addition to any deck where Pixie is present. Mobius completely negates the negative aspects of Pixie’s Ability, making her a purely positive card to play.
Is Pixie Worth It?
Pixie will be introduced in Marvel Snap as a Series 5 card, as most new cards are. This means, players have two options if they want to obtain her. One is by purchasing her from theToken Shop for 5,000 Tokens. The other is from theSpotlight Cache, where players will need to fork over oneSpotlight Keyfor a 25% chance of obtaining the card. She will be featured in the Spotlight Cache alongsideMobius M. MobiusandSpider-Ham(Spotlight variants shown above). While Spider-Ham isn’t a great card, it has its uses. Mobius M. Mobius is a fantastic card, especially when paired with Pixie. If players are missing two or more of these cards it is definitely worth grabbing them all at once.
As far as the answer to the question goes, Pixie is a chaotic card that can have highly random effects. This means there isn’t much reliability when playing her. She could potentially make her mark on the meta, but that is going to come down to luck. If players enjoy that type of gameplay, Pixie is a great card to grab. If players want a more reliable and safe experience, it’s best to pass on her for now and grab her when she’s included in a Series Drop later down the line.
