Elden Ringis undoubtedly one of the greatest games ever made, which also has one of the greatest bosses ever made. It’s none other than Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Known for her punishing difficulty, this boss has cemented her place in gaming history as a true test of skill and perseverance.
And now, thanks to the efforts of theGarden of Eyesmodding team, Malenia has been reimagined into a new nightmare entirely. The True Consort of Miquella mod replaces Consort Radahn at the end of the Shadow of The Erdtree DLC with a two-phase boss fight with Malenia as the Bloodbound Consort and as the Consort of Miquella.

Malenia is possibly the hardest and most popular enemy inElden Ring, infamous for being the bane of every player. With her Waterfowl Dance and Scarlet Rot abilities, she singlehandedly caused what is possibly the most amount of resets fora Souls game boss fight. The project is the culmination of over three months of work byGarden of Eyes. Months of development have resulted in a boss fight that probably exceeds even FromSoftware’s high standards. The detailed new design is complete with unique attack patterns and an AI that ensures no two battles feel the same.

This new version of Malenia has a lot of bleed-based attacks similar to Mohg and also has new mechanics and animations. The mod even includes fully rendered cutscenes and an original soundtrack, making it feel like an official DLC boss fight.

The mod introduces an alternate storyline where Malenia becomes the Bloodbound Consort to her brother Miquella. In this, Miquella uses his divine powers to boost Malenia’s abilities, much like he did for Consort Radahn. And it’s only right since she does replace the Consort Radahn character entirely.
The mod’s cutscenes depict a poignant yet ominous relationship between the siblings, with Miquella vowing to reshape the Lands Between alongside Malenia. This addition to the story gives us a bit of lore on what could have been and presents a darker, more complex vision of their bond.
One Malenia Fight Was Tough Enough, Now There Are Two Of Them!
The community response has been overwhelmingly positive, with fans praising the mod’s ambition and polish. Comments on platforms like YouTube and Reddit highlight the excitement around seeing modders create experiences that rival official content.
Players are praising the inclusion of unique soundtracks and voice acting, declaring that even Hidetaka Miyazaki himself would be proud of this unofficial homage.
