Sean Bean has no clue whatsoever about the ending of HBO’sGame of Thrones. He led the first season as the Lord of Winterfell before getting his head cut off in the ninth episode. Since then, he never followed the story of the series.
Season 8 was, indeed, the most controversial and critically panned installment of the famed fantasy show. Fans blamed showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for the lackluster plot and anticlimactic finale that apparently ruined the franchise.

If anything, the actor should consider himself lucky for avoiding the show so he would not know the trainwreck that happened in the final season. In his interview withVulture, he reflected on his short-lived role:
“I just did my bit and then I had to go! I don’t get to argue about that, right? I go in and out. With working and traveling and stuff like that, it’s difficult to keep in touch.”

However, he still tried to catch up on the show, but after revealing he had not seen the epic finale, it just proved he was not able to entirely keep up with the franchise.
“But I’ve meant to just sit down and watch them all over one weekend. I like to binge-watch, especially for something big like this.”
Surprisingly, Bean admitted he never gets any inside information about the happenings in the series, which he thought was good because he also did not want any spoilers.
