Mahershala Ali’sBladeis rumored to be the face of the next big saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will focus on the occult and horror side of the Marvel Universe. This is also cited as the reason by fans for the nebulous updates that they have been getting about the film.

While a lot of fans are gunning for Mephistopheles to be the Thanos in this Saga, the immediate first villain that Blade needs to face would have to be closer to home for the character. Therefore, there is a case to be made for Blade’s first antagonist in the Supernatural saga to be Dracula himself.
Fans have been wanting Dracula to join the MCU since Blade was announced
Blade, if he is the face of the Supernatural Saga of the MCU, might need a storyline that is mapped out for all the phases that are going to be a part of the narrative. Dracula could be the perfect fit for an Avengers-level film, with his daughter Lilith being the antagonist for Blade’s stand-alone movie, whenever that is the case.

Dracula is one of the most notorious villains in the Marvel Universe, being equal parts involved with the X-Men and the supernatural side of Marvel. Given that the MCU has also taken some inspiration from Ultimate Marvel, the MCU could adapt Dracula as an ancestor of Doctor Doom, something that could be a natural development after the events ofAvengers: DoomsdayandSecret Wars.
Dracula has already been adapted into live-action, albeit under the name of Drake, duringWesley Snipes‘ run with the character of Dracula. This version of the character was the chief antagonist of Blade, but out of respect for the daywalker, decided to help him escape a manhunt by assuming his face as he died, such that mortal law enforcement believes that Blade is actually dead.

MCU’s Supernatural Saga could do for Midnight Sons what the Infinity Saga did for The Avengers
The Midnight Sons is a team that a lot of fans are waiting to see in the MCU. One of the many criticisms of The Multiverse Saga was the fact that it did not have a team-up film between all the characters that it introduced into the MCU. It seems to be the case that the MCU will be keeping its Avengers lineup for big events, which means that smaller team-up stories like the Midnight Sons might be able to undo the damage that the lack of small-scale Avengers films has done.

Perhaps, characters like Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Blade, and The Punisher could crossover on a smaller scale to combat villains like Dracula, Lilith, Agatha Harkness, and Blackheart. Bigger crossover, like those fighting Mephistopheles and Knull, could involve the Avengers and other hero factions, such as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.
Given the occult and horror nature of the Midnight Sons line up, it would make sense for Marvel to allow some of the greatest fantasy and horror directions of modern times to work with these characters, especially the likes of Guillermo Del Toro andJames Wan.

Wan in particular, with his slew of Horror franchises is perfectly suited to head the Blade IP in the supernatural saga, given the horror-oriented nature of the character. While other ‘supernatural’ characters usually steer clear of horror, Blade in particular, especially with Dracula, would require the expertise James Wan has with superheroes and horror films to satisfactorily execute.
