Jujutsu Kaisenis one of the most discussed anime and manga series in recent times and the story has reached its peak in terms of writing, with fans getting amazing chapters back-to-back. Gege Akutami is going all out during the final arc of the series. Spoilers ahead!
Gege Akuatami is not afraid of killing characters and the next character who can die is Choso. The latest chapter in the series saw the King of Curses land a serious blow on Choso. And ever since, we have yet to see him in the story, with many fans believing that he would be killed to unleash Yuji’s true potential.

The story written by Gege Akutami has often been proclaimed by the audience as one of the best stories in recent years and the franchise has achieved tremendous success.
TheJujutsu Kaisenanime got a spot in thetop 3 most-in-demand TV showsworldwide and the manga had the second-highest sales in the world in 2023.
However, despite the success of the story, there have been numerous deaths in the series, which has caused fans a lot of grief, and looking at the hints, the next character to get killed might have been revealed by Gege.
Gege has a proven track record of killing any characters deemed necessary for the plot and they don’t consider the fanbase.
Chapter 247 saw Choso sneaking on the king of curses just to get ramped through and although it was not confirmed, the panel revealed Sukuna going through Choso.
In the story, all of Itadori’s loved ones have already been killed and the last remaining one was Choso. This might be the death that breaks Itadori apart and gives him a new power.
Recently, during Jump Festa 2024, Gege drew a photo of Choso and looking at the characters who were used for illustration during Jump Festa, who have all been killed in the story, it might be him who is going to be killed next.

What happened in chapter 247 ofJujutsu Kaisen?
Chapter 247 was one of the most crucial chapters in the series and it involved Sukuna toying with the Jujutsu sorcerers and doing it without even breaking a sweat.
Higuruma was the one who carried all the other fighters and his skill set even managed to impress Sukuna, who compared him to Gojo Satoru.

However, in the end, he didn’t prove strong enough to kill Sukuna but just before he was slashed, he gave Itadori the executioner’s sword.
This sword can eradicate souls, and in the last panel, we can see Itadori about to stab Sukuna. We need to wait until chapter 248, which will be released on January 21st, to see what happens next.
