The battle between Sukuna and Yoruzu has just started, and fans couldn’t wait to witness the two Cursed Spirits from a thousand years ago fighting at their best. What we saw in the previous chapter was just a sliver of their powers, but the battle got serious at the end of the chapter, where we see Yoruzu transforming into a giant bug-humanoid creature while Sukuna summoned Mahoraga.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 217 Recap
The previous chapter was titled Bath: Part 2, and it opened with Yoruzu and Sukuna in a stadium ready to fight. The former asked why he wasn’t changing his face back, and Sukuna asked her the same thing. The two then started fighting and Yoruzu attacked first, but Sukuna evaded it easily. He then kicked Yoruzu, and she was able to defend herself.
Yoruzu stated that Angel was also there, but Sukuna was not able to notice his presence, though Yoruzu could. Yoruzu asked why this was before answering her own question, stating this was because of her love for him. She then stated that she wanted to be the one to kill him or be killed by his hands. Yoruzu asked what he would give her if she won.
Sukuna replied that he would give her anything she wanted and then stated that his losing the battle would definitely mean he would be dead, and she could do anything to his dead body. Yoruzu asked if she could marry his corpse, and Sukuna replied affirmatively. This excited Yoruzu, and she shared her happiness by stating that then she would destroy three villages as the ceremony and decorate with the dried heads of the most handsome boy from each village. Sukuna asked her about Uraume, to which she replied that Uraume would prepare her favorite food, that is, Monkey Brain Potage.
The battle started again and Sukuna released Divine Dogs; however, she was able to evade their attacks easily. As a counter-attack, she trapped Sukuna within an enclosure, but he managed to escape it. Yoruzu stopped fighting and asked if the technique he used was his vessel’s and not his own. Sukuna replied in affirmation, after which she asked why he wasn’t using his own CT. Sukuna replied that it was because he wanted to drown Megumi’s soul completely, and he would do that by making him regret killing his own sister.
Yoruzu got angry at Sukuna for touching his future wife with someone else’s CT, and then she replied that he would not be able to defeat her without using Malevolent Shrine (Sukuna’s own Domain Expansion.) We then learned about Yoruzu’s CT, which could help her create all substances except for Special Grade Tools. At the end of the chapter, she took a new form with armored flesh, wings, and a bug-like face. Sukuna, on the other hand, summoned Mahoraga.
