Not only has Gege Akutami been releasing new chapters each week without any break; but on top of that, the new chapters have been shattering fan expectations. The latest spoilers have also revealed that a new chapter will be arriving next week.

While there’s still plenty of action in the upcoming chapter, according to the spoilers, it will mostly focus on Ryu and Sukuna, and a dark past is revealed for the former. If you can’t wait for the official release, check out a summary of the spoilers below.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 216 Spoilers
The cover page of the chapter portrays Sukuna, and the title reads, “Bath.” Everyone seems prepared for Sukuna’s bath ritual, and Uraume is revealed to be wearing ritual robes at the Zenin Clan, whilst Kenjaku is also present. Uraume asks Kenjaku why he isn’t finishing the Culling Game, and the latter reveals that he wants to merge Tengen, but right now, he is interested in the bath ritual.
The importance of the bath ritual is then explained to fans, which is considered an incantation for the vessels that are considered family heirlooms. The vessel is soaked in a special Cursed Energy solution for ten months and ten days, and the solution is obtained by crushing and straining selected creatures with inhuman poison.
Kenjaku asks about the need for doing all this, and Uraume replies that it helps to get close to the “Demon.” It means that the ritual will help Sukuna by suppressing Megumi’s soul into deeper depths, and the former would have complete control of the latter’s body. Finally, Sukuna comes out of the water, thus completing the bath ritual.
Kenjaku acts dramatically, and Sukuna asks the reason for his weird behavior. He then replies that he thought Sukuna would leave them alone because of his one-sided love affair with Yorruzu. Sukuna replies that he doesn’t care a bit about Yorozu, and he wants to destroy Tsukiki Fushiguro and sink Megumi Fushiguro inside him.
The scene then cuts to the Sendai Colony, where we see Uro and Ryu. They notice an intense aura from a distance, and Uro soon realizes that Sukuna is arriving. It doesn’t take long for Sukuna to appear near Ryu, and the former asks the latter if he won’t retreat. Before Ryu can even act, Sukuna slashes him and laughs.
However, Ryu doesn’t get injured, which impresses Sukuna. Sukuna replies that he attempted to cut him in three pieces but couldn’t. He then apologizes to Ryu for underestimating him and warns him to get ready for his next move. Ryu prepares a Granite Blast attack, but before he can even release it, Sukuna slices his face in three parts, and it seems like Ryu is dead. The chapter ends with Sukuna’s encounter with Yorozu, and the latter comments that he choose “that child,” referring to Megumi. Sukuna replies that he has a better face.
