The Golden Bacheloretteis inching closer and closer to its end and the beloved Joan Vassos is just a few steps away from picking her man. After she went on 4 hometown dates with the remaining contestants, she finally picked her top three. Her first rose went to Charles “Chock” Chapple, then to Guy Gansert, and finally, the third rose went to Pascal Ibgui, meaning that Jordan Heller returned home in week 6.

As season one nears its grand finale Joan Vassos appeared for an interview, taking a trip down memory lane. When asked if her kids were surprised by anything in particular shown in the previous episodes, Joan Vassos revealed that while they weren’t exactly shocked, her daughter did call her out for kissing one too many guys on the show.

Vassos stated that they weren’t surprised, but admitted that her daughter did call her up one fine day to complain about her mother kissing numerous guys in one episode. Four, to be exact.
In her own words,

I don’t know if they were surprised. But I mean, my daughter did call me one morning. She goes, ‘Ugh…kissing a lot of guys last night?’ And I was like, ‘No, did I?’ She goes, ‘Uh, four.’ I go, ‘No!’ And then she names them off to me, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I guess I did.’
While sharing the same anecdote withEXTRA, Vassos stated that she initially believed that she had only kissed two guys, until her daughter pointed out that the number was actually double.

Joan Vassos Did Warn Her Family Beforehand
Before filming began, Vassos told a little white lie to her family – that she wouldn’t be kissing guys on the show. She confided inFox News Digital,“They were very adamant about me [not] kissing men on TV and about fantasy suites. So that was like super embarrassing for them. We all knew that was a lie. So, oh well!”
Later though, she did tell them that some kissing would probably happen, regardless. In one of the clips posted on Bachelor Nation’sYouTube channel, her daughter Ally asked her,“Mom,how do you feel about kissing another guy on TV?”

This question really did a number on ourGolden Bachelorettewho realized with a swift“Oh, Jeez”that she would probably have to kiss some men on the show.
She stated that she will have to get used to it all since she doesn’t want to say yes to a guy she feels might not be someone she’d like to kiss in the future.

I’m going to have to get used to that because you don’t want to be with somebody that you don’t like to kiss. So, you have to, like, try it out.
She then shocked her son, Nick, by adding,“I’m going to probably kiss a fair amount of guys on camera. I’m sorry, guys.”Nick asked,“A fair amount?!”
So, at least Vassos had warned her family beforehand that things like this would probably be seen in the episodes, whether they liked it or not.
Now, Chock, Guy, and Pascal will compete for Vassos’ heart and we will have the show’s first couple in Week 8, which will be released on November 13.
The Golden Bacheloretteis available to stream on Hulu.
