Spider-Man: No Way Homeis one of the rare hits in the post-Endgame era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With three Peter Parker’s thrown into the mix, the movie gave the audiences something they could enjoy. Whether it was the older fans who went in anticipation to watch Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man again, or if it was the section that was there for Andrew Garfield’s iteration, or whether it was the new generation Spider-Man fans who were rooting for Tom Holland,No Way Homehad something for everyone.

But there was one thing that most of the divided fan-base agreed on. And that was seeing Tobey Maguire take the back seat so that Tom Holland could steer the driving wheel. Given seniority, and also, on the popularity level, Tobey Maguire most likely could take on the other two. And with how his Peter Parker was pushed into the shadows of Tom Holland’s hero, it is not too much to see why fans did not like this bit in the movie.

Who Is The Right Place Holder for The Peter 1 Title

When the three Peter Parker’s came together inSpider-Man: No Way Home, the fact that the title of Peter 1 went to Tom Holland instead ofTobey Maguiredid not sit right with a lot of fans. And rightfully so, given Tobey Maguire had been swinging through New York in his web suit way when Holland was just a little boy.

So the fact that Tom Holland was the ‘leader’ of the trio, even though he is the Spider-Man with the least experience and years behind him, baffled a lot of the audiences.

And also calling Tom Peter 1 made no sense. It should have been Tobey. With Andrew as Peter 2 and Tom as Peter 3. They need to change it next time they meethttps://t.co/Vo5Xbs47CH

One thing to understand here is thatTom Hollandis the main hero of the movie, given it was his trilogy and his universe. But bringing in two senior actors into an ensemble movie, playing the same role, and then pushing them to the sidelines just so that the hero can get the limelight, maybe was not the right way to go.

Fans React To Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Leading The Other Two

As is the world of social media, as soon as there is even a hint of dispute, people from all over gather in to leave their two cents into the discussion box. The same happened when a user onXpointed out how Tom’s Peter leading the other two made no sense.

More and more people came forward to share what they thought should have happened. And given how a lot of people wanted to see Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker be the leader and steer the two younger versions of the character to victory, that would have been a sweet spot.

I absolutely agree here. Tobey has way more experience as Spidey and he is the most mature Spiderman among the three.

He must be Peter 1.
