N*de scenes in Hollywood are nothing new. While some are okay with baring their bodies for the screen, all a part of the art, some show hesitancy on the matter. And actor Jim Caviezel, who is most famous for the movieThe Passion of the Christand the show,Person of Interest, is in the latter group of people.

At least, with much more open and secure sets for intimate scenes and the incorporation of intimacy conductors, things have become much smoother now. Yet, it did come as a surprise to many when Caviezel refused to go ahead with a n*de scene, even if his scene partner was one of the sexiest people alive.

Jim Caviezel, who became famous for playing Jesus Christ in 2004’sThe Passion of the Christ, found himself turning into a sensation overnight. But all his fame was not enough to break him away from his ideals. He also reasoned that the love he has for his wife was also a deciding factor in this. In a conversation withCrosswalk, Caviezel said:
Don’t get me wrong. I do love scenes — but not ones with gratuitous s*x. I also don’t do gratuitous violence. And it’s not just about my wife, although that’s important. It’s sin, pure and simple. I mean, it’s wrong. But I don’t like to talk about these things. It’s awkward.

Jackson, have no wish to do the same for a project. Many other actors have similarly refused to go bare for the sake of the story, and their reasons are just as valid.
Talking about the reason behind her refusal to do n*de scenes to OK Magazine (viaDigital Spy), Julia Roberts once said:

I wouldn’t do nudity in a film. To act with my clothes on is a performance. To act with my clothes off is a documentary.
