With only four more chapters left, Kohei Horikoshi’sMy Hero Academiais moving towards its end after entertaining the fans for ten years. The series has finally finished with the battle against Shigaraki Tomura and All for One, and now the students of U.A. are just getting ready for their promotion to the next class.

However, considering the story, it looks like Horikoshi has a lot to work on in a sequel or a spinoff series that can be part of theMy Hero Academiaworld. But in order for it to work, the mangaka has to come up with an even better narrative than the current one and make it more entertaining forMy Hero Academiafans in the future.
While there have not been any confirmed announcements about Horikoshi working on a sequel or a spinoff, the manga creator did talk about a bonkers sequel idea that he would like to work on if he gets the time. Although the concept that Horikoshi has in mind feels crazy, it might just work withMy Hero Academiafans.

Kohei Horikoshi’s Sequel Idea
My Hero Academia’screator was recently interviewed byMammoth Base Opera Castle, where he was asked about the future of his magnum opus and what he plans to do next afterMy Hero Academiais finally over. Talking about his future, Horikoshi revealed that he wants to enjoy it a little before getting into another story.

Horikoshi stated:
If I ever get around to it. I want to enjoy myself before deciding to do another series. I could just plot it, though. I’m thinking aliens from space attack wanting to add Earth to their evil empire. That sounds fun.
Although Horikoshi talked about enjoying himself before doing another series, he did come up with an idea on the spot for the sequel, which will involve aliens coming from space to attack Earth and adding the planet to their empire. While the idea is a little different from theMy Hero Academiatheme, it might just work.

What’s Next forMy Hero Academia?
My Hero Academiarecently released Chapter 426 of the manga, which focused primarily on Endeavor and his reconciliation with his family.Kohei Horikoshihad already announced that the series will end after Chapter 430, which, according to the timeline, will be released on August 5. This most likely means that the mangaka is already done with the conclusion.
Although the story has a perfect ending, there are stillsome plot holes in theMy Hero Academianarrative. Deku’s father, the origin of quirks, the next phase of U.A. students, etc. are some of the major topics that are still left to be covered, and they could very well work as the basis for a sequel or spinoff ofMy Hero Academia.
