Of all the roles Tom Felton has taken on to date, his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in theHarry Pottersaga will continue to be remembered as one of his best performances ever. But despite such a remarkable embodiment of the character that had fans loving him in that respective role, the 36-year-old actor has some serious regrets related to the same nonetheless.

Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy.

To be more precise, there is onescenefrom The Boy Who Lived’s saga that could have delivered the true respect that his character deserved. However, because of a series of unfortunate events for the young Malfoy, that scene never managed to make it to the final cut for the film and eventually transformed into one of Felton’s biggest regrets related to Potter’s Wizarding World.

Tom Felton Wishes This OneHarry PotterScene Had Made it to the Final Cut

It is a universally acknowledged fact that theHarry Potterfilm series is perfect just the way it is, with no major changes required. Well, heartthrobTom Felton, who embodied the major antagonist of the young Potter, Draco Malfoy, agrees to this too… Except for when it comes to one particular deleted scene.

Recently, theRise of the Planet of the Apesstar got into an interview withE! News, where he shared he wouldn’t change anything about the fan-favorite Wizarding World saga except for one scene from the second installment, i.e.Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, that never made it to the final cut.

Finally revealing his thoughts after more than two decadessince the release of the film, he said:

Lucius and his son, Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter saga.

“I think the films were perfect in their own way. And they know a lot more about it than I do, I was only 13. But there’s a scene with me—and it’s actually the first time I’ve worked with ‘Dad’—at Borgin and Burkes. I think it’s on one of the DVDs as a deleted scene.”

The scene in question is respectively the one where Draco Malfoy and his father Lucius Malfoy (Jason Isaacs) visit Borgin and Burkes together. In the scene, the young Malfoy is seen touching a magical item before his father strikes him with his staff, reminding him of his dominating presence as well as his instructions to“Touch nothing.”

Continuing in the interview, Felton expressed that if he could go back in time, he would have had that scene included while admitting how, other than that, the saga is absolutely perfect.

“If I could go back and redo things,”he continued,“obviously there are things that I look back at myself as an 11-year-old and cringe and go, ‘What are you doing?’ But other than that, I think they told the stories perfectly.”

Whilemost fans would argue otherwiseon the“cringe”part of his comment, what’s worth realizing is the fact that this very deleted scene of Isaacs and Felton should have actually been included in the originally released saga. Because had that happened, it would’ve done true justice to Felton’s character.

Had it Been Included, the Scene Could’ve Done Justice to Draco Malfoy

Although the scene in itself may not seem much to many, it still holds a much deeper significance totheHarry Pottersagathan what the eyes can see. For instance, that scene perfectly depicts the complicated relationship that the Malfoy father-son duo shared all the while pointing out the brutal methods with which Draco was treated by his father to ensure his compliance.

Plus, including this scene would have not only given Draco the true respect he deserved but would have further done justice to him since he was pretty muchthe main antagonist of James and Lily’s son,and very well deserved his own story arc to be told too. This is why it is only understandable why Felton so desperately wanted that scene to make the final cut.
