The actress revealed that long before the pair worked together on Stranger Things, Sadie Sink had caught the eye of Ryder.

Before she assumed the role of Max Mayfield, Sink played a minor role in Keri Russell’s The Americans in 2013. Despite her appearance being very brief, Ryder saw something in her. So much so, that she ended up also writing her name down, checking to see what would happen in her acting career.
