Valorantis hugely popular in the gaming world right now. And one of the reasons for this supreme success is its diverse agent roster. As of now, the game features a total of 24 agents, divided into four agent categories: Duelist, Initiator, Controller, and Sentinel.

However, at the beginning of the game, you will only get five agents unlocked. And the real problem arises after that when you go to unlock other agents, as unlocking them without spending a penny is a pretty tough job. For that, you need Kingdom Credits (KC), which is an even tougher job.
Earning Kingdom Credits in Valorant Is a Huge Task
There are a few ways to unlock an agent inValorant. Firstly, you may purchase Valorant Points (VP) from the store and use them to buy your preferred agent. To buy a single agent of your choice, you need to spend 1,000 VP, which costs $10 in the in-game store. Now, spending $10 on a single agent might sound a bit expensive.

Another way to buy an agent without spending a single penny is by spending Kingdom Credits (KC). You will need 8,000 KC to buy a single agent in the game. However, the method might be free, but collecting KC is an absolutely tiring job. Sometimes, players leave the game permanently because they can’t use a variety of agents; accumulating that much KC is way too difficult for one agent.

So, how do you collect Kingdom Credits? There are many ways in which you can get KC in the game. Upon completing daily rewards, you can earn 600 KC a day and 150 KC at each daily checkpoint. However, deathmatches don’t give any KC.
For an average Swiftplay match, you can earn around a mere 36 KC, but that takes more than 15 minutes to complete. If you lose a round, you earn 2 KC, and if you win, you get 4. So, basically, the KC amount provided is very low as compared to the hard work the players have been putting in on a daily basis. However, fans might not want to unlock this agent by any means after its harsh nerf.

Other Ways to Unlock Agents in Valorant
There are other ways to unlock agents. For new agents, every time the game throws an Agent Recruitment Event, you have to grind out 200,000 XP to unlock that. This event lasts for around four weeks, and if you manage to reach that much XP in this time, you can unlock that new agent for absolutely free. Still, 200,000 XP in just four weeks is a tiring job as well. However, in this phase, you can’t buy that agent with KC, but VP still works.

On the other hand, you can get a new agent for absolutely free if you have linked your Riot account with your Xbox account, and that must contain an active Game Pass subscription.
So, keeping in mind the complexities of the event and the price of a Game Pass subscription, the most feasible and beloved choice has always been buying an agent with KC. But ifValorantkeeps on constricting in giving away KC, then more players are going to call it a day.
