Khalid Comes Out as Gay
The glitz and glamor of the entertainment industry might seem mesmerizing from afar but only those who are in it know the relentless scrutiny and emotional toll that comes with constantly being under the public eye.
People expect celebrities to be a hundred percent transparent about their lives, often forgetting that they are humans too. Whether it’s their love life, their family issues, or their sexuality, some believe that public figures owe us answers.

Something similar happened to Khalid who revealed on X that he was“outed”on the Internet before he even had the chance to take the narrative in his control. Coming out as gay, he posted a rainbow flag emoji on his account, @thegreatkhalid, and wrote,“there yall go. Next topic please lol.”Clearly, Khalid doesn’t believe that his sexuality should become a hot topic of discussion.
🏳️🌈!!!there yall go. next topic please lol

A fan replied to the tweet stating,“Wait hope Mr Khalid isn’t GEHHH!”This prompted the singer to hit back with“I am! And that’s okay.”
I am! And that’s okayhttps://t.co/z3cvR7H6QB

He then proceeded to state that the world continues to turn despite the fact that he was outed. Khalid isn’t“ashamed”of his sexuality. The only reason he hadn’t come out to the public yet was because he didn’t believe it was any of our business, rightly so.
I got outted and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me 🖤 love yall

When a fan stated that the“closet was glass. But we accept you,”Khalid replied,“I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just not any of your business.”

Khalid’s unapologetic stance is a reminder that no one owes the world an explanation when it comes to their private lives, celebrity or not. We love him for that! At the end of the day, everyone deserves autonomy over their narratives, do they not?
Fans React to the News
When Khalid came out on X, it goes without saying that his fans were all up in his replies giving their two cents on the topic. While some stated that this was obvious news, the majority of the response was positive with people supporting Khalid and sending him all the love.
