Johnny Depp has been spotted enjoying his vacation in the Bahamas after what seemed like an eternity dealing with his court trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. The former couple were married for less than two years before filing for divorce. Since then, they have been involved in a series of defamation cases.
All of that is in the past now that both of them have seemingly moved on in life. In fact, the actor – who bought a private island – is lately seen having the time of his life and making new friends in the Caribbean islands.

Unless one lives under a rock, everyone must have heard the news aboutJohnny DeppandAmber Heard’s messy divorce and trial. They had been in a relationship for four years before calling it quits in 2016 after the actress filed for divorce.
The case involved allegations of abuse where both parties claimed to have been victims. Heard published an essay tackling domestic abuse that stirred the controversy. She did not explicitly mention her ex-husband’s name but Depp was pretty much convinced the opinion letter tarnished his image.

They sued each other and went undercourt proceedingswhich lasted for six weeks. In the end, theAquamanstar was found guilty. They eventually settled the case in December 2022.
After the strenuous battle, both of them have seemed to lie low with Heard living a new life in Spain with her daughter and Depp spending a holiday in the Bahamas. Many fans believe the actor needed this getaway after the trial gave him so much distress.
In a recentInstagrampost, Depp is seen enjoying a cup of rum punch at Lorraine’s Café in the Bahamas. He is seen speaking to a bartender who asks, “Where’s the bloody rum in that?” while the actor responds, “I know why all the rum will be gone!”

The line is a reference to his character Captain Jack Sparrow inPirates of the Caribbeanwho has an extreme fondness for rum which always seemingly runs out when he needs it the most. In any case, it’s nice to see the 61-year-old star getting some relaxation after what he’s been through.

Depp has returned to Hollywood with projects such as 2023’sJeanne du Barryand a directorial project entitledModìwhich is set to premiere on December 2024. There is no confirmation, though, whether he will return for anotherPirates of the Caribbeanfilm.
