Newbon’s performance is regarded quite highly with the character, as it takes an extremely talented actor to portray nuance within Astarion’s character.
Despite all that, the minds behindFallout: Londondidn’t initially take in his services as a volunteer. If Todd Howard brings Newbon for hisFalloutproject, it would be the perfect revenge!

If you’re unaware,Fallout: Londonwas initially revealed way back in 2021 and finally made its debut in July 2024. It’s a fan-made mod project and includes a DLC-sized post-apocalyptic London with a complete storyline and several quests.

The project caught everyone’s attention in the industry, includingBaldur’s Gate 3voice actor Neil Newbon. In an interview withGinxTV, Newbon opened up about his interest in the project. However, the role that made him a legend, Astarion fromBaldur’s Gate 3, still hadn’t reached mainstream popularity yet.
Although Newbon’s message did reach theFallout: Londonteam, they didn’t know who he was and didn’t know how to respond to him.
They missed my message, for about a year and a half. Apparently one of the guys said, ‘Oh I got this message from him ages ago on Twitter, but I don’t know who this guy is.
Well, if the fan-made project couldn’t do justice toBaldur’s Gate 3actor, it’s time for Bethesda and Todd Howard to do the honor with the nextFalloutgame! It’s been almost a decade since Bethesda has brought another mainline game to the franchise, and players are desperate for another entry.
The nextFalloutgamewon’t hit the shelves before 2030, as Howard is currently working onElder Scrolls 6. Bethesda has enough time to start planning out its cast of voice actors, and Newbon being on the project would certainly elevate the entire project. His performance might be the thing the game needs to bring an emotional depth and make the characters feel more lifelike.

Even though Team FOLON, the minds behind this mod, might’ve dropped the ball by not immediately bringing Newbon on the project, itstill has massive plans for the future.

Team FOLON has shared that the 1.03 update for the mod was so huge that a lot of its changes will be introduced in a separate DLC. This is quite shocking, considering the fact that most of the mods don’t get the DLC treatment in any way or shape.

The DLC will bring new and previously axed content. However, we haven’t received any bits on the potential storyline we can expect to see or when this expansion will hit the shelves.
The development team has also given the community a list of over 900 changes that will arrive when the 1.03 update finally drops. Team FOLON has also revealed that it’s now officially a business, and while it will continue to support the incredibleFallout 4mod, it will move to other projects in the near future.
