One of the most mysterious collectibles in everyDeltaruneChapter are the eggs. We have a vague idea of what the Shadow Crystals will do, but the eggs are just as prevalent, and no one knows why.
Every chapter has you doing some amount of backtracking, secret hunting, and digging around for the egg, and almost all of them provide absolutely zero indication of where and when you can find them.

Deltarune Chapter 3: 100% Completion Guide
We’re getting everything, even the weird stuff.
Our only explanation of what the eggs might do is in Chapter 3, and for the most part, the only practical info we learn from it is that we should be putting the eggs away somewhere in hometown.
For that reason, I’ll list off all four egg rooms, where and how to find them and obtain the egg inside, and where in hometown you may put the egg for safekeeping, thus appeasing the mystery Egg Man.

The Scarlet Forest
The simplest of the bunch,Chapter 1’s egg room can be found in the Scarlet Forest, in the transition between the room containing the bird shooting stars at you, and the Original Starwalker, with the revolving darkness puzzle room after it.
Simplywalk in between this room transition a bunch of times, spamming left and right to do so quickly, and you’ll eventually land in the egg room. Interact with the tree’s leaves, and you’ll be in a conversation with a strange man.

No one knows who this man is, and whilespeculation has run rampantabout him being related to Gaster, he certainly isn’t the mysterious man himself. And for what it’s worth, I’m only here for the fresh eggs.
Asgore’s Fridge
Once you’ve landed back in hometown after a long adventure, you can head to Flower King, Asgore’s current residence, and head into the back, where you’ll notice a rather musty fridge in the corner.
Interact with this fridge, and you’ll automatically put the egg inside. We don’t know what this does just yet, but given the fact we aren’t able to go back to Flower King in any other chapter, it’s important to do this now.

Cyber City
The next egg is in a slightly harder-to-reach spot. Once you get into Cyber City with Noelle, you’ll come across a roomwith several vertical traffic obstaclesthat make you stop cars and quickly weave through them to get to the other side.
To get to the egg room, cross the first road, press both buttons, then run down in-between the cars, into the tunnel, and head further down and to the left, all without stopping, as you’re under a somewhat strict time limit.

After that, head to the left, get absolutely demolished by the funny white dog, and end up at the dumpster where you’d purchase the Thorn Ring in a weird route. As an aside, this is theonly unobtainable egg for the weird route.
Once you’re there, it’s business as usual.Walk in-between the dumpster room and the tunnel room, constantly spamming left and right till you find yourself in the egg room, and go grab the egg in an identical way to Chapter 1.
Sans' Shop
After you get back to the light world with Susie, simply head into Sans' shop, interact with the big basket of eggs, and you’ll put the egg in there automatically, as well as seeing the most divorced man in existence while you’re around.
40 Things To Do To Prepare For Deltarune Chapters 3+4
I’ve explored every inch of Deltarune for years now, and every playthrough seems to get dark, darker, yet darker.
TV World’s End
Easily the most complicated of all the eggs. The Chapter 3 egg will only be available if you haven’t used violence on a single Zapper, and you’ll be locked out of it once you’veobtained the Shadow Mantle, as well.
If you spared every Zapper and did this before the final S-Rank room, then you’re good to go.Head to the end of the TV World segment that leads you back to the Green Room, and go to the right instead of up.
Here, you’ll come across a lone spotlight guarding a chest containing a single dollar, and it’s incredibly easy to avoid it. Step directly into the spotlight. When asked what you are, tell the Zapper you’re a cheater, then say you’re going nowhere.
To progress in this room, you need to backtrack to the Lights Out puzzle where you use lancer to dig holes and turn all the X’s on the ground into O’s. Use Susie to throw the block on this screen across the river, in-between the bushes.
It has to be on the third tile up from the bottom, as any other position will force you to backtrack here again. Go back to the Nowhere room, and you’ll be able to finish the rather simple block puzzle now.
Here, you’ll enter a room with a lone TV and a book enemy from Chapter 4, who you can’t interact with in the real world. Plug in your controller, talk to him, enter the kitchen, interact with most of the furniture, and you’ll find you’ve had a ticket this whole time.
Backtrack yet again to find a Froggick, and you may notice it has a red X on one of the ACTs now. Hover over this ACT, hold down left, and you’ll be transported to a Gameboy-like area, with Kris in their light world outfit.
All the dialogue here feels like it’s rather emblematic of a forgotten world of escapism, some game or story Kris left behind in their past, with all the characters around being the usual kind of cryptic you’ve come to expect by now.
Once you head up, you’ll find the tree for this area.Inspect the back of it, and you’ll be up for another conversation with the Egg Man.This time, however, it’s a little different, as he can actually speak, and won’t give you the egg if you mess up.
During your conversation, reply with “No” to his first two prompts, then “Yes” to every prompt afterward, as he speaks about how many times Kris has forgotten him, and how they may forget him in the future.
This scene absolutely destroys the idea that this man is Gaster himself, but instead, he may be some kind of representation of a man that tried to help Kris through some traumatic event, further supported by the next egg room.
Berdly’s Desk
Before we get this egg, since there was no Light World segment in Chapter 3,you’ll need to put the egg away at the beginning of this chapter. After church, head to school, and go back to your classroom, where you’ll see Temmie next to a desk full of eggs.
If you’ve done everything right so far, it should have four eggs in total on display.Interact with the desk again, and you’ll find the egg missing from your inventory after the fact, safely storing it with its brethren.
After you leave Noelle’s house, interact with the diner door, where you’ll get another surreal interaction with the man, and a takeout box with an egg inside. This doesn’t give you an egg, but it feels like it may not be unimportant, but probably isn’t too important.
Deltarune: How To Defeat The Secret Boss In Chapter 3
One More Fountain, One More Crystal, One Hundred More Questions
The Second Sanctuary
After your emotional tower climb with your brutish best friend, where she discusses her elation at being the girl with hope crossed on her heart, Susie will run off to the left, so naturally, head over to the right and enter the room.
This will take you to a really long room containing roughly a lot of windows, and you’re tasked with finding a single window with a slightly different sprite. It has a different egg-shape at the top that makes it look more full.
It’s near the end of the hallway, so it’s best to run to the right for around a minute, then start looking for your window. You can also just walk directly into every window, and you’ll find it eventually, if that’s more your style.
Once you do find it, you’ll find a strange room that was heavily referenced by the Spamton Sweepstakes, with new lore on the angel, a very cryptic “Roots” prophecy, and an NPC spouting out-of-order nonsense.
Naturally, exit this room, then re-enter it through the egg window over and over until you end up in a hospital. An 8-bit Rudinn at the receptionist’s desk checking Kris into art therapy, where you’ll have to navigate in the dark.
Enter the middle door with a tree marked on the front, where you’ll find a tree with a man behind it on the left, a sink at the top, someone telling you that “This is the place where we draw and don’t kill each other”, and a free canvas.
The easiest way I find to navigate is just bumping around on everything, interacting especially with the bottom right of this dark room, and you’ll eventually get to the canvas, which is the only thing that matters for grabbing the egg.
Kris will paint a rather scraggly, strange still life of a tree, then trace the shape of an egg in the air, which will give you the egg for this chapter. Feel free to wash your hands after getting it, for even more dark implications on Kris' past, and what this all might mean.
The Third Sanctuary
As an aside, you may think you get locked out of the egg room by progressing past the second sanctuary, but that’s not true. When you’re in the third sanctuary and weaving between bullet patterns of several dark balls moving around you at once, you have an opportunity.
Just before you leave this screen, you might see the secret invisible path for a moment just above you. Go up a bit from the exit of this room, then head to the right, where you should find a path you can walk on.
This will take you to a cool room with a bunch of extra lore implications, a hint that Flower King will likely be the Chapter 5 Dark World, and an NPC all the way to the right of this long hallway.
Talking to them and answering “Yes” will have them open up a passageway, which will take you back to that same mirror-clad hallway from the third sanctuary, giving you the opportunity to get the egg, even if you’vefought the boss of this chapter.
As for where you can put this egg, we don’t have any way to do so in the brief light world visit after the boss fight. But I’d say keep a look-out for every interaction during Chapter 5, likely while you’re at the festival.
