Elden Ringis the latest project developed by FromSoftware and it is the ultimate Soulslike experience for any fan. The gaming community did not waste any time diving into the base game and was deeply satisfied with the jam-packed content.

The game developers followed up on the success of the base game with an equally jam-packed expansion. Most players are wondering how much time they will have to invest before watching the credits roll and the answer to that question greatly depends on how well they perform in-game.
How Long is the Elden Ring Expansion?
The gaming community relished every second of playingElden Ringafter being faced with powerful enemies of all manners and encouraging them to take the time to build their respective versions of the Tarnished to be the best ones yet. Soulslike games have a reputation for being a soul-crushing experience, and this project is no different; however, some players got creative with their builds making their journey much easier and more convenient.
TheShadow of the Erdtreeexpansion was released a few months ago and was universally praised by the gaming community and critics society alike. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki took everything that made the base game a success and carried it over to the expansion; however, the game director lacked the proper skillset even for a game he made and relied heavily on his knowledge to advance through the base game for research purposes.

If players refuse to deviate from the main path and solely focus on advancing the story, they could finish the expansion at around the 21-hour mark. It is much shorter than the base game’s lengthy campaign which is not all that bad when most enemies can kill players without much effort.
The game developers from FromSoftware didn’t spend two years working on a brief expansion. There is always more stuff and other optional content that are worth doing and that could extend the playtime to 36 hours with a fine balance between doing the main story and the side quests. However, it is worth mentioning that playtime will greatly vary on how well or fast a player can get through certain areas anddefeat optional bosses like Count Ymir.

For completionists who want to achieve 100%, it takes an extra 9 hours to finish everything. Clocking at around the 46.5-hour mark, the massive expansion stayed true to the initial description of being on par with the base game. The gaming community will have more than enough side activities to accomplish, enemies to slay, and places to explore once they set foot in the Lands Between.
The Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion Is a Worthy Follow Up
Director Hidetaka Miyazaki did not hold back with the atrocious and disgusting enemy design. The appearance of these enemies amplifies the fighting experience knowing their destructive capabilities. The gaming community will likely spend their time going through the campaign to get the full experience; however, some people are more interested in the story than the other added content.

FromSoftware struck gold with the Soulslike genre and is doing everything to appeal to the gaming community. The modest length of the campaign could encourage players to try it for themselves without worrying how long they will have to play and their performance will greatly determine their playthrough.
