It was one of the toughest times of the rapper 50 Cent’s life when he was shot nine times and left for the dead back in 2000. His injuries were horrific and deadly, which nearly cost him his life if he hadn’t been given prompt medical attention. While he has come a long way from that dreadful day, his past continues to make headlines.
What many don’t know is that apparently 50 Cent’s shooter has links to one of the most prolific boxers of all time, Mike Tyson. Tyson not only called the shooter his friend but also once dedicated a fight after him.

Things became intense when 50 Cent developed a beef with Ja Rule, who was signed up with Murder Inc., which was a money laundering operation for Supreme McGriff (seeNBC). When 50 Cent failed to resolve the feud with Ja Rule, Supreme apparently put a hit on the rapper’s life (via19XX).

But the mobster was killed by Lil Kim’s ex Damion World Hardy just months after due to another issue with gang wars (via 19XX). Mike Tyson, in 2000, weeks after Baum was killed, dedicated his fight against Lou Savarese to him (viaYouTube). While 50 Cent years later revealed his alleged shooter was Darryl ”Hommo” Baum, it was Kenneth McGriff aka Supreme McGriff who was found to be the one behind the deadly shooting.
It was during the highly controversial trial of Christopher and Irving Lorenzo, the rap moguls when certain details emerged that revealed that a three-member crew had attacked 50 Cent that day.
