PlayStation recently announced the PlayStation Plus October lineup, which includesInjustice 2,SuperhotandHot Wheels Unleashed. These games willbecome available on the platformon October 4.
First up, Injustice 2 is a fighting game featuring characters from the DC universe. The game won plaudits for its story, which prominently features Batman and his attempts to rebuild society following the vents of the first Injustice.
The roster features 38 characters overall, 28 included in the base game 10 additional characters available as downloadable content. Some of the non-DC characters who are playable fights in Injustice 2 include Sub-Zero and Raiden from Mortal Kombat and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You’re able to upgrade individual characters with better gear, increasing stats and creating unique playstyles.

Superhot is an indie first-person-shooter where time freezes when the player isn’t moving. This creates an interesting blend of planning, shooting and dodging. The visuals are minimalist, with featureless red enemies and black poly weaponry. The game has since been released for virtual reality and has received a standalone expansion entitled Superhot: Mind Control Delete.
Leading the month is Hot Wheels Unleashed, a racing game developed byMilestone. Offering a fun twist to regular racing games, Hot Wheels Unleashed places you behind the wheel of a toy car, hence the name. Tracks are a mix between plastic tracks and life-sized household rooms.
The additional track-building mode takes you back to your childhood, allowing you to build your own custom tracks to race on. The cars do not have realistic physics, allowing you to drift, jump and boost to your heart’s content. Hot Wheels Unleashed still retails at full price, making it an attractive pick-up this October.
These games will be available to download starting on October 4th and will be available for the rest of the month. You can find these games in the PlayStation Plus app on your PlayStation home screen or in the shop by finding the games individually.
