While the school of Hogwarts is massive, with lots to see and do, there is even more to experience beyond the walls of the school.Hogwarts Legacyhas a massive open world for players to explore, featuring different settlements full of NPCs, often needing help dealing with nearby threats.

While exploring these settlements, you’ll come across people in need of a capable student to fight off anything from dangerous murdering dark wizards to full-size trolls. The quest Troll Control can be pretty straightforward and fits the name perfectly, as you’ll be helping the settlement of Brocburrow with a nearby troll.
Beginning Troll Control
This quest is begun by walking through the settlement of Brocburrow, eventually hearing Alexandra talking about a nearby problem. With the growing threat of Ranrock’s Loyalists, Alexandra thought it best to raise a Troll to defend the town from the Goblins. As one may have guessed, the Troll was not able to be adequately trained to be friendly and is now causing additional problems for the settlement and needs to be put down. Alexandrawill request the player’s help and will mark the nearby lair the Troll is livingat on your map. It’s not far from the settlement and only a short ride on your broom or beast.

Completing Troll Control
After arriving at the Troll’s lair, you’ll see an open field with the Troll roaming about. This Troll is much stronger than a usual Troll and is alsoan Infamous Foe of the region. Like all Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy, this can be a difficult fight for those unprepared.Bring a few charges of Ancient Magic and focus on building up more with long combosthrough the fight. There are many items littering the arena that can be thrown to interrupt and briefly stun the enemy. Heavily focus on damage-based spells and counter when you see the yellow ring, as this large enemy can’t be levitated.
After defeating the Troll, you can head inside the nearby shack that Alexandra was using while training it, with you finding andable to read the plans she had to raise and train the Troll.While you cannot find anything beyond the plans for raising the Troll, they are worth reading and grabbing.
Return to Alexandra in Brocburrow andlet her know you took care of the Troll problem.There are a few dialogue options to choose from depending on how you would want to react to her whole idea after seeing the dangerously thin plan she wrote out at the lair. You canalso select the nickname the settlement would give you for defeating the Troll,but neither option will have any further impact on the game, and you’ll receivethe usual rewards for completing the quest.
