During your time exploring Hogwarts and saving the Wizarding World, you may come across certain items known as Traits. These items can be applied to your gear to help you create the best young witch or wizard you may.

How To Unlock Applying Traits
Before you can apply Traits to your armor, you must first unlock the ability to do so.In order to do this, you need to unlock theRoom of Requirementin Hogwarts.This will happen during your 21st main quest in the game. Once you have done that, you will need to be able to craft items to put into the Room of Requirement.
The item you need to craft is the Enchanted Loom. However, you cannot unlock it until you complete the quest “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom.“Once completed, you will be able to head back to the Room of Requirement and craft this workstation.It requires 8Moonstones.

How To Apply Traits
Once you have unlocked the Enchanted Loom, you will need to build it. Then, you can use it and select the piece of gear you want to add Traits to. From there, you will be taken to a page that shows all the Traits you have available for your gear. Here is a list of the required materials for applying each tier of Trait.
Once you have gathered the materials and selected the Trait you want, you may hit apply Trait. This will apply the Trait to whatever piece of gear you had selected.
How To Upgrade Armor
After selecting the Enchanted Loom, you will see a screen pop up showing you all the items you have in your inventory. From here, you can select the item you want to upgrade and hit upgrade.
