Jump Festa 2022 concluded with several exciting announcements for projects likeDragon Ball Super,Chainsaw Man, Tokyo Revengers, andBLEACH.Besides the ongoing projects, several new anime adaptations were also teased during the event, including MAPPA’sHell’s Paradise Jigokuraku.
MAPPA released the first PV ofJigokurakuthat flaunts incredible visuals and music. So, it’s no wonder that the anime community is already excited about its release.
What is Hell’s Paradise Jigokuraku About?
Hell’s Paradise Jigokurakuanime is based on a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku. The manga’s story mainly revolves around Gabimaru and Yamada Asaemon Sagiri. Gabimaru was a ninja who got captured during an assassination mission, and Yamada Asaemon Sagiri was assigned as Gabimaru’s executioner.
Interestingly, Gabimaru possesses superhuman abilities, making it impossible for Sagiri to kill the ninja. So, he promises Gabimaru to pardon his crimes; the only thing he has to do is find the elixir of life in a mysterious and legendary realm, Shinsenkyo. Obviously, Gabimaru decides to do Sagiri’s bidding and heads to Shinsenkyo with some other convicts.

Does Jigokuraku Anime Have a Release Date?
Sadly NO, MAPPA hasn’t confirmed a release date forJigokurakuas of yet. The Japanese animation studio is already working on massive projects likeJujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan Final Season. And considering thatChainsaw ManandAttack on Titan Final Seasonare set to premiere in 2022, the studio might releaseJigokurakusometime in 2023. Anyway, this is just a prediction, and we can’t be sure about it until MAPPA gives us something official around the release date.
