Jason Statham is one of the most established actors in the industry at the moment and is always making headlines for one reason or another. The English actor has recently taken the world by storm after it was rumored that he is the voice of the character in the adult musical comedy animated series,Hazbin Hotel. Although the confusion was cleared up later, the mere idea of Statham voicing a character in an animated series and singing as well was enough to freak out his fans.

Hazbin Hotelhas had a complicated past

The first episode of the adult musical comedy animated series,Hazbin Hotelwas released back in 2019 on YouTube and was animated by a group of freelancers and was largely financed by the followers of the series’ creator, Vivienne Medrano. The success of the episode facilitated Medrano to create a spin-off series of the same universe,Helluva Boss.

AsHelluva Bossalso turned out to be a successful endeavor, Medrano decided to shift her focus back toHazbin Hoteland further episodes of the series were released this week which has received largely positive fans from the fans and critics. 5 episodes of the series, including the pilot which was released in 2019 have been released so far and the series has also been renewed for a 2nd season.

Did Jason Statham voice the character of Zestial Morde inHazbin Hotel?

After the release of episodes ofHazbin Hotel, a rumor started quickly spreading on the internet thatJason Stathamgave voice to a recurring character of Zestial Morde in the series. Although the voice did sound similar to Jason Statham, something did not quite add up how fans would just wildly guess that it was the voice of Statham.

Jason Statham was showed as Zestial Morde

Apparently, when the first four episodes of the series were released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this week, the X-Ray feature which shows the cast details of a movie or series incorrectly showed Jason Statham as the voice of Zestial Morde. Although the detail was quickly corrected in a few hours, some fans who had already noticed this detail took to social media to express their surprise as Morde even sang in one of the episodes. The character of Zestial Morde was voiced by a very talented American voice actor, James Iglehart.

The first four episodes ofHazbin Hotelare currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video and the fifth and sixth episodes of the series will be released later this month on 26th January.
