Beef between two rappers is common in the hip-hop industry, but it seldom extends to the level that it has between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. When these two giant artists locked their horns, the fallout was seismic, and Lamar’s diss trackNot Like Ustriggered a hate train on social media against Drake.

TheHotline Blingsinger has taken the war to court, and the hate against him has only quadrupled since then. But recent revelations of Drake’s personal struggles which even involve his son Adonis, might make the keyboard warriors re-think their actions.
Drake’s lawsuit: Rapper sues Universal Music Group
Drakefiled a case against Universal Music Group (UMG), and according to the lawsuit, the diss track that was released in May, has led to a series of harrowing and dangerous events, threatening the safety of Drake and his family (viaHot97). In the 81-page complaint, the rapper’s lawyers have given a detailed account of all the online harassment, threats, and even physical attacks.
As per reports, one of Drake’s security guards was injured after an armed group open-fired outside his Toronto home. The lawsuit also alleges that an intruder tried to enter their property by digging under the security fence. The rapper’s legal team has highlighted that such instances never occurred in his two-decade-long career, and linked them directly to UMG’s supposed negligence.

Drake has accused the company of being greedy and neglecting his safety, which essentially means that UMG failed to see howKendrick Lamar’strack could impact Drake. While his decision to go to court has beenheavily looked down upon in the community, the artist hasn’t flinched and continues to fight the legal battle.
Drake’s son, Adonis is the human side of a public feud
All we see are lawsuits and diss tracks in the headlines, but screens make us forget that a real person, who probably has nothing to do with the whole fiasco, is being impacted in the worst way possible. Drake’s recent revelation about having to withdraw his seven-year-old son, Adonis, from elementary school adds a deeply personal angle to the whole controversy.
The rapper wanted to ensure that Adonis and his mother were safe, so he moved them out of the city after the school term’s end. What fueled his decision to take legal action against UMG was the anxiety he felt from all the threats.

Netizens who ridicule Drake for the lawsuit might reconsider their stance after hearing the news about his son. A father protecting his son and pulling him out of school is far beyond the limits of what should happen due to a feud in the music industry.
