Marvelous revealed via this week’s Famitsu magazine thatHarvest Moon Friends of Mineral Townwill be getting a full remake on Nintendo Switch. The remake is titled in JapaneseBokujou Monogatari Saikai no Mineral Town,meaning"Story of Seasons Reunion with Mineral Town", and will launch in Japan on June 20, 2025.
The remake will include both the storylines and content of the originalHarvest Moon Friends of Mineral Townand its upgraded versionHarvest Moon More Friends of Mineral Town.As such,in the remake, players will be able to select either a male or female protagonist.
The Famitsu magazine preview reintroduces part of the iconic bachelors and bachelorettes: Popuri, Karen, Rick, and Cliff. The others should be revealed later. What seems to be brand new characters added for the remake are also teased with silhouettes. We’ll know more when the magazine becomes available at July 4 midnight JST.
The Famitsu article also indicates the game’s development is 85% complete. Seeing the high completion rate and the October release in Japan, thisFoMTremake is definitely the otherStory of SeasonsgameMarvelous confirmed to be developing a few months ago, besidesDoraemon Story of Seasons.

The game is remembered by many as the bestStory of Seasonsgame ever made, and as the ultimate farming-themed game in general. The game and its upgraded versionHarvest Moon More Friends of Mineral Town(Mineral Town no Nakama tachi For Girls)introduced man new gameplay elements to the franchise. It includes intricate systems for farming, mining, fishing, cooking, and much more. TheStory of Seasonsfranchise evolved even more since then, so this remake, which should definitely include all these evolutions, is like a dream come true for any fan of the franchise.
