Among the many villains in Greek Mythology, Chronos has to be one of the biggest bad guys of them all. His story is poetic. When he was younger, he, with the help of his mother Gaia, overthrew Ouranos to become the ruler of the world.
After what he did to his father, he was always worried that his children might do the same to him, so he used to eat the gods right after they were born. And like a self-fulfilling prophecy, Zeus, with the help of Rhea, used his own father’s weapon to slice him up and sprinkle his bits all over Tartarus.

But you’re able to only delay the inevitable so much, and now the titan of time is back inHades 2. He already has Hades and his family imprisoned, and he will not stop until he gets his revenge on all the Olympians.

Luckily, Melinoe has been trained her entire life byHecateto take down the King of the Titans. Still, this will not be an easy fight, but knowing what he has in store for you can definitely help you out. So, here ishow you can beat Chronos, the Titan of Time, in Hades 2.
How To Prepare For The Chronos Fight
Since Chronos is the final boss you fight in the underworld, you get plenty of time to prepare for this fight. For starters, you should try getting as many Centaur Hearts and, optionally, Soul Tonics as possible.
More hearts mean more HP, and with a higher Magick, you won’t have to wait frequently for it to recharge before being able to use your Omega skills again.

The next thing you should try iscollecting as many Golden Crowns as possible; this will help you purchase the Kiss of Styx, which restores a single charge of your Death Defiance. You could also go for Chaos’s Legendary Boon, Defiance, and Athena’s Boon, Stalwart Stand, to get more charges of Death Defiance.
you’re able to also equip Luckier Tooth, Schelemeus’s keepsake, to revive once you hit 0 HP.

For weapons, you should take the one you are most comfortable with. If you aren’t sure, Descura (Witch’s Staff) and Lim and Oros (Sister Blades) are some good picks as they are easy to use.
Finally, forArcana cards, these are some of the ones you should consider equipping:

The above cards are important for the fight. As for getting to the boss in the best health, consider going for The Wayward Son, Persistence, and The Centaur.
How To Beat Chronos In Hades 2
Similar to theInfernal Cerberusfight,to beat Chronos, you will have to move around constantly while attacking when it is safe. His Scythe attacks can chip away a huge chunk of your HP, so you have to make sure you avoid getting hit as much as possible.
Chronos has 2 health bars, so to properly beat him, you need to kill him twice. During the first phase, you fight in a long corridor; as such, the area might feel restrictive initially, but after running around a bit, you should get comfortable with where to dodge certain attacks, for example, when Chronos dashes at you.
Ideally, you should try standing as close as possible to the Titan because, that way, it will be easier for you to dodge behind him when he attacks. Do the standard combo of using an Omega Castand landing a few hits while he slashes or is in the middle of some attack.
Back away from the Titan lord when he uses his Cast attack or starts summoning satyrs to take care of them first. Repeat this until you nearly chip all of his HP away, and he will start the second phase with a full health bar.
Hades 2: How To Beat Scylla
Here is a quick guide on how you can beat Scylla, the legendary sea monster in Hades 2.
In the second phase, your primary goal should be to avoid getting hit by any of Chronos’s deadly attacks. It is alright if you land a few fewer hits, but getting one-shotted will make you lose all your progress. And as there is a lot of RNG involved, who knows what Boons you will get next, so try playing this phase as patiently as possible.
The best time to attack him is after he has used one of his powerful moves and is back at attacking with simple attacks from his phase one.
Keep attacking Chronos whenever there is a clear opening, and you will defeat him easily.
Chronos, Titan Of Time Phase 1
Description
Summoning Satyrs
Chronos always starts the fight by summoning satyrs. These attack you if you leave them be.
Eliminate the satyrs quickly before fighting Chronos.
Chronos surrounds himself with golden time orbs. These balls rotate around him and will damage you if you get hit by them.
Lure Chronos into dashing toward a wall so that they get destroyed by colliding with the wall.
Scythe Throw
Chronos throws his scythe like a boomerang. It flies in front of him like a disc while moving in a circular motion.
Try getting behind Chronos, or staying very far away from him during this attack.
Scythe Slashes
Chronos slashes his scythe in front of him. This leaves a trail behind that creates golden explosions. Getting hit by either the scythe or the trail explosions will damage you.
Dodge behind Chronos as he swings the Scythe, or use ranged attacks from a safe distance.
Dash Attacks
Chronos dashes toward Melinoe. He usually does this attack after spawning the time orbs. His dash leaves a golden trail behind that creates small explosions.
Dodge to either side or away from Chronos.
Chronos uses a Cast that creates a golden dome. Touching this dome will freeze you.
Dodge or sprint away from the dome Cast.
Summoning Flags
Chronos summons 4 flags in the corridor. Letting this flag stay up will create wards for Chronos and any enemy on the battlefield. If the enemy has a ward, any damage you strike gets negated.
Destroy the flags.
Vacuum Pull
Chronos creates a pull with a vacuum-like effect. If Melinoe gets sucked in, she will take damage from his scythe. After stopping the pull, he fires a golden arc at the last location where she was standing.
Run around and away from the vacuum to avoid getting pulled, dodge into or to the side to dodge the golden arc.
Scythe Slashes and Dash
Chronos slashes his scythe twice in Melinoe’s direction, and both of these create explosion trails. Afterward, he dashes toward her.
Dodge behind Chronos when he slashes and dodge to either side when he dashes at you.
Summoning stronger enemies from Tartarus
Chronos summons stronger enemies like Satyr Vierophant when he has 25% HP left. These enemies have armor and can be very problematic if not dealt with quickly.
Eliminate the summoned enemies before fighting Chronos.
Multiple rotating Time Orbs
Chronos creates six trails of golden time orbs. Each trail has 4 orbs that rotate once around Chronos.
Run away from the attack and avoid getting hit.
Chronos always begins the fight by summoning his six satyrs.
Every run, you have a chance of meeting Hades before you confront Chronos. Try getting his Deep Dissent offering to reduce the foes that Chronos summons to 50%.
Run to the opposite end of the corridor from where Chronos rises. This will buy you some time to eliminate a few satyrs while he gets to you.
At the start of the fight, he mainly uses his Scythe slashes or Scythe throw. The more damaged he is, the more aggressive he gets while also using his other moves as the fight progresses.
Typically, you want to either fight him up close or be very far away from him.Medium range might make you feel safer and may even buy you some time to react to Chronos' vacuum attack. But this range is very dangerous when he uses his scythe throw attack.
The other move that you need to be careful of is his Time Orb attack. When he spawns his golden orbs, try getting near a wall so that it destroys the orbs for you. This way, you will find it a lot easier to deal with his dash attacks.
Play safe and counter the above moves while chipping his health away until he gets to 1% HP, and the second phase will start.
Chronos, Titan Of Time Phase 2
Safe Spot Attack
Chronos covers the entire arena except for one spot with a red light that explodes to deal you a lot of damage. This is enough to one-shot you.
Run to the safe spot that is in one of the hour slots of the clock.
Safe Ring Attack
Chronos uses a similar attack as the Safe Spot one, but this time, there is a safe ring outside, where the entire arena is covered with light. When it explodes, you will take enough damage that it can kill you.
Run to the safe ring.
Summoning Clock Hands
Chronos summons a few clock hands, pointing in random directions. These hands explode after a few seconds of spawning.
Run away from the clock hands.
Closing Rings Attack
Chronos spawns two rings that close in toward the center of the arena.
Dodge through the ring just before it is about to touch you.
Summoning Healing Hourglasses
Chronos summons hourglasses that fire a green beam on him, which heals him over time. Breaking the hourglass causes them to leave behind a Time Dome.
Destroy the hourglasses before they can heal him too much.
Moving Clock Hands
Chronos creates an hour and a minute hand that moves around clockwise.
Dodge the clock hands.
Rings Of Time Orbs
Chronos creates three red rings on the arena, after which multiple golden time orbs spawn using the rings as their orbit.
Avoid getting hit by the golden orbs.
Creating Twelve Clock Hands
Chronos creates twelve clock hands for each hour, which explode after a few seconds.
Stand between the clock’s hands before they explode and dodge Chronos if he tries attacking you.
This phase can feel overwhelming because a lot is going on almost all the time throughout the fight. Luckily, the strategy hasn’t changed much from the first phase. Chronos still uses his scythe slash and throw attacks, just not all that frequently.
Chronos always starts this phase with his Safe spot attack, so look for the hour that has the spot and stand there to avoid dying from his arena-covering attack. You could also use long-range attacks from here if possible, like Descura’s Omega strike or Lunar Ray if he’s somewhat nearby.
Wait for Chronos to start using his phase 1 attacks to fight him.Once his HP is below 50%, he will start summoning hourglasses that heal him. While a single hourglass or even two can’t heal him all that much, you shouldn’t leave them be.
Chronos spawns a lot of them over the course of the fight, so if you leave them unchecked, they can help Chronos recover plenty of health. Aside from that, there aren’t any other moves or combos that you need to specifically look out for.
