Luckily, there is a way to get a Tayu’itar Head Unit with a hundred percent drop rate if you follow a series of very specific steps during the boss fight. The process is easy enough once you understand what you need to do, but it can be nearly impossible if you’re not aware of it.

To get the drop, you need to destroy the Tayu’itar Head Unit during the boss fight. The problem is that the Head Unit ishiddenand non-targetable. To make it visible, you’ll need to do the following.

If you aren’t fast enough to destroy the purple glow on the legs, the Tayu’itar will enterOverdrivemode. If this happens, reload. The legs will not become purple again for the rest of the mission.
You can also select the ‘No one Likes Leftovers’ mission, which is easier to complete than the ‘Hope In the Machine’ mission. However, in ‘No one likes Leftovers’, the Tayu’itar is accompanied by multiple smaller robots. These robots are not hard to deal with, but they can easily mess up your lock-on mechanic, preventing you from targeting the machine legs effectively. This is the reason we recommend ‘Hope in the Machine.’
