So Cygames held the 6th anniversary stream forGranblue Fantasyon March 8, revealing tons of upcoming updates to the PC and mobile RPG. Most notably, the game’s battle system is getting new features,  and two new classes: the Lumberjack class and the Cavalier class. Another big announcement was a new collaboration event withImas Cinderella Girlscoming on May. I’m sure you’re able to read about all this stuff in a much more detailed fashion elsewhere already, so let’s skip to the main subject.

During the stream, we also had some news regardingGranblue Fantasy Versus. However, the whole event sadly had no segment dedicated to the upcoming PlayStation 4 action RPGGranblue Fantasy Relink. There was no trailer, no gameplay, nada. Instead, the staff only quickly mentioned the game when the event was about to end. When everyone on stream was sharing some messages for the fans, Director Tetsuya Fukuhara mentioned how Cygames is still working onGranblue Fantasy Relink, and asked fans to keep supportingGranblue Fantasyfor its 7th year. While I didmentionthat this kind of no update scenario was a possibility, it was still pretty disappointing to actually see it happen.

Granblue Fantasy Relinkhas no release date for now and Director Fukuharaexplained why at the lastGranblue FantasyFes.Hopefully, we’ll hear more about the game before theGranblue Fantasy Fes 2020,which was announced on this stream for December 11-13, 2020.

If you’re a seiyuu fan, I’d recommend skimming around segments of the anniversary event. You’ve got most notably the various video messages some of the seiyuu recorded to wishGranbluea happy birthday at the1:54:12 mark. You should also check out the segment with Nao Tōyama and M.A.O fighting onGranblue Fantasy Versusat the2:33:08mark.

The event’s full stream is included below. And I’m still waiting forUma Musume.
