Delving into these optional portions of the game won’t only add to the game’s charisma, but will also reward the player with someresourceful items, extra XP, and additional loreand backstory for various characters or a geographical area. This is especially useful for players who want to reach 100% completion and get as much out of the game’s story as they possibly can. For this straightforward side quest, Kratos will need toretrieve a total of six Stolen Treasureswhich count as Artifacts. Each Treasure will dish out extra data on the game’s story and lore.

Stolen Treasures Of Midgard

Players should start to look for the Treasures by going to theLake of Nine, located in Jormungandr’s area. Even though this quest is one of the most straightforward to follow through, traversing the large area will take a while traveling. Because the realm’s layout is simple, it is easy to track each of these Treasures down. Fortunately, players can also collect each Treasure inany order they want. However, to make things simpler for those wishing to follow our guide, we recommend following them in our list below to avoid zigzagging across the map.

First Stolen Treasure - Fert

As Kratos begins to divert away from the Mystic Gateway that isnorthwest of Tyr’s Temple, begin heading east and approachingHelheim Tower. The snow will make this journey difficult to see, but considering the Helheim Tower’s size, players will eventually see it even by accident. Once there, go to theright side of the tower, facing its front. More specifically, go to the right archway. Kratos will be able to utilize thegrappling pointon the rock to get up the ledge. Afterward, grapple to the other side of the gap andtake a left– there will be ared chest, with the Stolen Treasure, Fert, close to it.

Second Stolen Treasure - Ankh

Go to the northern part of the Lake of Nine, leading to theShores of Nine. Ahead, head under the large rock, take a left, and face the brambles head-on.Burn themand begin heading straight, jumping over the gap. Go through to thedescending stairs of The Oarsmen, climb the wall ahead (after defeating the enemy in the room), and climb the wall to the right to the top. Now, Kratos will be in an open, snowy outside portion – there is a long, golden chainon the other side, go ahead andclimb itto the top. Go straight and jump off the ledge. There’s a giant,semi-buried chainbelow. Go to the other side of it and interact with it – this will cause Kratos to begin pulling it, which simultaneously opens asecret underground area.

Go to the right side of the chain and go into the now-opened area with descending stairs. Some enemies will spawn in the dark corners, so be prepared. To the right of the room, there’s a chest against the wall – south of it, there’s abroken-cornered areathat Kratos will need to hop into. In this room, theStolen Treasure Ankhwill be on the floor, next to a pale corpse. Upon picking up theRiver Empire’s artifact, the player will be rewarded 75 XP for Kratos.

Third Stolen Treasure - Janbiya

After coming back to the Lake of Nine, head south toTyr’s Temple. Kratos will be face to face with a Raider Stronghold, but for now, there is no reason to go inside. Atreus will express concern about the camp while Kratos approaches it. Instead, stick to the western wall and go to a corner that has anarched opening and icicles covering the opening.Continue to this opening andbreak the iciclesso Kratos can enter. The third Stolen Treasure, Janbiya, will be on the snow floor, very close to a corpse’s hand. After picking up therusted blade, the player will be rewarded 75 XP for Kratos.

Fourth Stolen Treasure - Maya

Leave the cave from the last found Stolen Treasure and begin heading south from thelocation on the map above. Wherever Kratos is facing, pinpoint where the bridge is (east side of the map), and head towards it. More specifically,go underneath the bridge. As Kratos approaches the underside of the bridge, stay keen on objects on the right side, up against the snow rock wall. There will be ashort stone ledge, and on one of the corners, there will be an armored corpse sitting against a rock. Next to the corpse, players will find the fourth stolen treasure, Maya.

Fifth Stolen Treasure - Kila

Starting from the location on the map shown above, begin headingsouthwest and take a slight left, parking the sleigh next to a stone structure. There will be ascending stone stairs when facing east. When found, begin going up thespiraled stairs. At the top of the stairs, there will be a corpse lying in a fetal position partiallyburied in the snow. The fourth Stolen Treasure, Kila, will be in front of the dead body. Upon picking up the Kila, the player will be rewarded 75 XP for Kratos.

Sixth Stolen Treasure - Lyre

Starting from the area shown in the map above, hop into the sleigh and start headingsouthwest. Eventually, Kratos will need to turn into adead end with a large shippartially buried in the mountainous snow to the left. There is a slightly raised ledge ahead – park the sleigh here. Hope over the ledge and continue forward to the structure – this isThe Derelict Outpost. Following the path, this will take players underneath an arched portion of the Outpost. On the other side, take a sharp left turnand face the arch rock wall. Hanging from the top of it, there will be agold chain. Go ahead and climb it to the top. Atreus will ask: “What is this place? Some sort of Outpost?” This confirms that Kratos is in the correct spot. This Outpost is technically a hidden location, so It is easy to accidentally miss.

After climbing the chain, reaching the top, and receiving that bit of dialogue mentioned prior,go to the leftand continue forward. Kratos will reach a dead end – turn to the left andgrapple acrossthe gap to the other side. Take a gradual right – there will be a wooden crane that will be in the right corner withgold circles sticking out of it. Kratos will need to move the crane in the correct position so that he can grapple to the other side. Throw the Leviathan Axe at one of the gold circles and wait for the top portion of the crane to move toward Kratos. Once the crane is in position, grapple onto the red grapple point of the crane andget across to the other side.

Continue straight, and a fewenemies will spawnin front of Kratos – kill them off. Backtrack a little bit where the previous crane was, but still outside. There is another crane to the left or right, depending on where Kratos is facing, but locatednortheast. Just like the crane from before, have Kratos throw the Leviathan Axe at one of the gold circles and try to move the upper portion of the crane closer to him. The crane will stop in a fixed position – now, grapple onto the crane acrossto the other side. Upon getting to the other side, take a left, a slight right, and thenhop over the ledge ahead. After Kratos is on the left, turn to the left andinteract with the chain mechanism. Doing so, Kratos will start rigorously pulling on the chain, simultaneously causing athird crane to emerge from below.

After the crane is lifted, jump off the ledge to the left, face the end of the upper part of the crane, andgrapple onto it and acrossto the other side. When Kratos is on the other side, take a sharp right anddrop down the rock ledges– Kratos will drop from two of them and will need tograpple drop from the second oneto avoid damage. Keep going forward behind the third crane’s base and take a right. Up ahead, a corpse will be lying on the ground against a wall, and the sixth Stolen Treasure, the Lyre, will be next to it. When Kratos takes the Lyre in hand, players will be rewarded with 250 XP for Kratos.
