While there is no confirmation of what the developers are doing, speculations are welcome.Perhaps it could be a new update that will include a boss rush or challenge modefor players who are after a more harrowing experience or it could also be new story content. The developers knew they had to get the combat rightto gain the attention of the gaming community fully which ultimately benefitted the overall game.

The developers certainly left a strong impression and the players are already pining for more content. The success of this project will surely inspire more indie game developers who are too intimidated to make such a leap but directorHyung-Tae Kim dreamed of this for nearly a decade and did not let the doubts or negativity sway himfrom realizing his creative vision.
Stellar Blade Gave Shift Up the Confidence to Be More Ambitious
The idea and setting of the game may not be that original given the fact thatthe game director shared his sources of inspiration which included the work of James Cameronfor the live-actionAlita: Battle Angelfilm and this game was his passion project. Kim believed he could contribute to the table and he delivered.

Sony has a vested interest in this franchise and will give the developers the support they will need. There is potential for sequels and the appeal is there. Kim knew that players are attracted to fast-paced action games and he was inspired by the success of the Soulslike genre and applied a similar combat system.
The gaming community was enamored bythe bold and daring character designsand the game director admitted it was intentional. Kim had no malicious intent and wanted to depict powerful female heroines and Eve was the epitome of that vision.

Fans can already expect this franchise to go places and the developers can now pursue a more ambitious idea knowing that there is a strong demand for more. Sony struck gold with this partnership and will likely back the team with any idea they come up with.
