On January 10, miHoYo revealed the full details for the Ganyu gacha banner,Adrift in the Harbor, inGenshin Impact(PC,PS5,PS4, Mobile, soon onSwitch). The new Ganyu limited gacha banner has Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Noelle as its four star characters.
The Ganyu gacha banner inGenshin Impact,Adrift in the Harbor, will go from January 12 to July 25, 2025.
As usual, a new weapon gacha banner will be coming as well.
Lastly, the first part of Ganyu’s Story Quest,Sinae Unicornis,will be added January 12:
This banner will followthe Albedo banner.Personally, as usual, I don’t recommend pulling on the weapon banners. Except if you’re the biggest, tastiest whale there is, sought by the best Japanese chiefs and fishermen violating international fishing laws.
The ongoing banner with Albedo is ending onJanuary 12. While the Dragonspine event introduced new characterRosaria,voiced by Ai Kakuma (Edelgard inFire Emblem Three Houses), it looks like Rosaria won’t be playable anytime soon.
Genshin Impact(PS4, PS5, Switch, PC, Mobile) Ganyu Teaser Trailer
Ganyu is a Cryo character using Bows. Moreover, she’s super cute and those who understand 2D culture will definitly feel like marrying her regardless of their gender or orientation.Higurashiafficionados in particular might wonder if anyone can * Ganyu’s horns like Hanyu’s. Last but not least,Reina Ueda, (the seiyuu of Ajimi inPriPara) voices Ganyu. If you don’t look down on kids anime, this should pique your interest. The Ganyu gacha banner is a nice banner to pull for if you need a Cryo character inGenshin Impact.
In conclusion, personally speaking, I believe the Ganyu banner has surprising characters choices, but these aren’t bad. Firstly, it’s true past gacha banners already featured multiple times Noelle, Xingqiu and Xiangling. Secondly, Xiangling and Noelle are two characters the game gives you for free. However, this means many players will be able to bring them to Constellation 1 at the very least. With that said, while Xingqiu and Xiangling are from Liyue, and are two of theGenshin Impactcharacters whose names most Caucasian people have trouble pronouncing, I was definitely expecting the banner to be full Liyue. Furthermore, Ningguang’s absence is particularly surprising.Seeing Ganyu works for Ningguang. Then again, there is no correlation between the game’s story and the gacha banners, and Ganyu is the latest example.
With the Closed Beta Test of Version 1.3, miHoYo is changingZhongliandGeo characters. February 2021 will mark the official launch of Ver1.3. While we donât know yet when itâs coming,Inazumawill be the next of the seven regions of Teyvat to be added.
