The American gaming retailer GameStop is currently trying to find a mischievousStar Warsfan who mislabeled a Darth Vader lightsaber. The incident happened at their retail store #1261, where an unauthorized sticker found its way to the merchandise. The sticker had some content strictly for adults, which could be problematic since the merch is also sold to underage fans.

The GameStop Legal Team issued a notice which was shared on their Instagram page. The company has sought help from fans and customers who have any information on this particular incident.
An Unapproved Labeling OnStar WarsMerch Causes Headache For GameStop
Imagine going to the nearest GameStop store for aStar Warsshopping and getting a lightsaber with the warning:“For rectal use only.”Well, it happened to a few customers at GameStop store #1261. The video game and merchandise retailer issued an announcement onInstagram, apologizing for the incident and also giving a warning to the perpetrator.

The mischievous label was seen on the product Darth Vader TM Mini Lightsaber TM Light. GameStop shared that the lightsabers were designed forepic duelsand imaginative adventures. They clarified that it was not meant for “creative uses,” as mentioned in the labeling.
The company also assured that none of the unauthorized stickers would make their way to another lightsaber. The announcement from GameStop read:

While we appreciate enthusiasm about our products, let’s be clear: lightsabers are designed for epic duels and imaginative adventures, not for any other creative use suggested by unapproved labeling.
Rest assured, we’re on it, ensuring that all lightsabers stay free from misleading disclaimers. We’re committed to maintaining the integrity of our products and the safety of our customers.

The company also urged its customers to reach out to GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen if they found anything about the mischievous individual who mislabeled the product. They ended the announcement with a cheeky line:“May the Force—and common sense—be with us all.”
GameStop Shuts Down Game Informer Magazine After 33 Years
GameStop made headlines earlier this month when they shut down their popular video game magazine and website, Game Informer, after 33 years. The magazine started publishing in 1991 and was acquired by GameStop in 2000. The magazineran into several issues in recent times.
In 2019, GameStop laid off half of the Game Informer staff, and since then, the magazine has had three editors-in-chief. On August 2nd, Game Informer published a memo titledThe Final Level: Farewell from Game Informer. It read:
